Cardiff City have signed gary medel from Seville for a record fee.
This guy is an animal,  i remember a game last season he got sent off and volleyed a chair which then hit a cop
I'll be keeping an eye on his price for a booking when he plays.
That's negredo,  palop, Alberto, medel and naval all left this summer

I think the Real Madrid H T-FT landed did it not?

2-0 H T, 3-0 FT for McGlashan's double in his first two bets.

Well done

I have Cardiff on handicaps, bit of a dark horse this season. Will draw a lot of games that they'll be expected to lose, be tight at the back. Don't have them as relegation material at all

Is this too optimistic?

McGlashan, any chess picks for tomorrow?

(Serious question. I know you like your chess and the thread could do with someone who knows what they're doing)

I saw a bloke on telly the other day say much the same thing.

Bwin are offering a line of 5.5 on the number of goals Paulinho will score for Spurs this season, with 11/13 either way.

I really like the overs.

I saw a promotional article on bwin's site by chance this morning, saying he'd play deep. I disagree. Spurs are about to complete a deal for Capoué, who will sit alongside Sandro in front of the back four. Paulinho will be more prominent in attack and will be a genuine threat in the air for set pieces.

(Lol he's just scored from a header but ruled offside!)

6 goal sweats anyone?

Any views on this? I shall propose £33 and see where that gets me.

He looks a great signing and that line does look on the low side.

Tal did you have a punt on Bale to stay during this transfer window?

I haven't. I think he'll go, of course. I think it's an interesting bet and tempting, but I can't determine the head:heart ratio well enough

The value looks to be in backing these transfers not to happen. There are a lot of reasons why Bale might not move:

1. Daniel Levy
2. Daniel Levy
3. Madrid want to pay in long winded installments with only £20million up front.
4. Spurs cannot readily spend that money / easily attract a high quality replacement.

That said the odds are now into 2.6 on Bale staying.  However Rooney to stay @2.25 looks much more likely to happen.

Nope, unlike yourself I'm just a seasonal fan (when an event comes to the UK).

well done mc

Re Cardiff

Not sure really i cant see them being clear of a dogfight mainly because i cant see were the goals are coming from.

The big daneish lad i have seen twice (not enough but still) and he is decent but does not really standout as having the ability to create his own chances.

They should be solid enough to stay up but not buy much. Having said that they could of course continue to spend in Jan or before then

Nope, unlike yourself I'm just a seasonal fan (when an event comes to the UK). I'm not a complete idiot. No way I'm putting my neck on the block alongside yours while I'm on a winning streak

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM Big Adz, great call on the Frenchie. Decided to put everything I had in my Laddies acc on it before I opened it to see what was in there. There were times in 2007 when Laddies woulda been issuing a profits warning if I'd done that on a 16/1 winner. Still, a happy weekend, knew you'd do it

Hehe.

Always good to take Ladbrokes for a few bob, eh mate.

I always imagine that smug David Williams is paying me out!

Good day.

On the same basis as red suggested, surely have a few bob on Jonas B. Almost 20s on BF. Won a tourny a few weeks ago from a little way back, so plenty of bottle.

He may already be in the Doobs army and already covered tho

On betfair you could bet £10 each to win on Scott Stenson duffner & furyk and its profitable if one wins

Is this a bad bet?

Looks terrible to me

You are buying so much of the book that you are likely paying something close to the overound on the book.  That overound is about 5% to 7%.  So what you are likely doing is buying 70% of the book at a cost of 75%.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots
