RNA Mr T. I bet Tal gets it before you.

R - -     N - -     A - - - - - - -

Boom!

Very good.

Got it now, but I'll give Tal the pleasure of answering. I was never terribly comfy with the expression, I'm more the softly-woftly pass to the money sort, but I seem to recall Jeeves used it a lot.

La Liga kicked off last night with Athletic Bilbao starting their quest for 3rd place with an away win, Villareall play on Monday night.

The big 2 kick off tonight and until they show a propensity to concentrate on defending it's worth having an investment on both teams to score at above evens.

Suggested bets:

£20 btts=yes Real Madrid vs Betis  @2.1 with PP
£20 btts=yes Barcelona vs Levante @2.25 with BetVic

Brave stuff Sir, given the jollies we are playing are 1/6 & 1/10.

Are you sure that the 2.1 BTTS Real-Betis price is correct? Looks the wrong way round to me, unless I have misread it. The quoted price is 4/6, is it not?

Much appreciate the Updates on AB & Villareal, it really helps Tighty, we have scores of open bets on dozens of different sports, & it's difficult for him to cope with them all. Helps the sweat, & sense of ownership, too. Wink

Rather than taking 2/9 first game of the season Chelsea I'd rather take a risk on Even money Chelsea win to Nil BetVictor

but for me, personally, game is a watching brief

More of a bet is Spurs 5/6 at Palace, if held at thread gunpoint....

Not putting it up though, lets see how Spurs are minus Bale, Holtby and Adebayor and with Paulin and Solda-dos

just had a message from Hills and Add spurs to win by to nil and its 5/1

it tempted me.

Ah it's good to see you were paying attention there.

We can boost the Real price by using Coral's 'to win not to nil' market http://www.oddschecker.com/football/spain/la-liga-primera/real-madrid-v-betis/to-win-not-to-nil.

Clever way round it I think - we gain a better price, but lose the bet if it is a score draw or Betis pull off a shock win. Seems a reasonable trade off with Messi & Co @ 1/10.

We have.....

Barca v Levente, BTTS, £20 @ 5/4, BetVictor.

Real M v Real B, Real M to win, NOT TO NIL, £20 @ 27/20, Corals

ON

Barcelona v LevanteYes (Both Teams to Score)Odds: 5/4 Stake: 20.00Possible Return:  45.00
__

Real Madrid27/20Real Madrid v Real Betis - 18/08/2013
Stake £20.00
Estimated Return:£47.00
Total Stake: £20.00
Potential Return: £47.

Not sure they did, I think Mr M may have done. Could be either, I suppose, or it may be that Oddschecker transposed the prices.

Despite all the clever software programmes, the final prices are inputted manually somewhere along the line.

Oh I see, my apologies.

I will allow Mr M to answer that. Afternoon nap awaits before the big Premier League game of the day starts.
