Known in rugby as a hospital pass! There's undoubtedly an NFL equivalent...

On my ROI be it, then.

Hello again

Manchester City beat Newcastle United 4-0 on Monday. Corruscating stuff, and emblematic of Pellegrini's style

Their fixtures for the remainder of August 2013 are

Cardiff Away
Hull Home

Bet Victor make Mr Pellegrini 5-1 to be August Manager of the Month, which traditionally goes to the manager who has amassed the most points in the month to which the award pertains

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/manager-of-the-month

During this period Manchester United play Chelsea, so thats one of Mourinho and Moyes who isn't getting maximum points, possibly both.

I think 5-1 is a complete and utter rick, and unbelievable price given their forthcoming opposition

5-1 is far better odds than a "beat Cardiff then Hull win" double would be eg 1/2 at Cardiff, 1/5 to beat Hull

I suggest a Maximum Bet, pending other people telling me I have missed something

Surely nobody is going to be that impressed with a very good side beating 3 whipping boys?  Doesn't look a max to me.

He's a new manager. That should work in his favour.
He's 7/4 with the other bookmakers.
Would be interesting to see amount of first month managers statistics.

For all the reasons stated, I agree, I think 5/1 is excellent value, but for now, not sure I can bring myself to MAX it, or at least, not unless someone shouts at me. I have no idea how thery make the selection though, or whether internal politics play a role.

Me? As I wrote yesterday, he impressed me enormously.

For now, Fred has £50 @5/1, BetVictor, Pellegrini, August MOTM.

If the bet is good, that price will soon disappear. I've taken ANOTHER £50 for myself, & if we agree to up the original £50, Fred can have that, too, but it HAS to be before the price moves, for transparency of numbers.

I know nothing, but if the difference is that wide and the market isn't 300% gues we should bet.

Mr T.

Yesterday someone proposed a bet on Dustin Johnson in this weeks Fed Ex golf thingy ostensibly because he just got engaged to Wayne Gretsky's daughter or sister. He is worth an each way dabble as his form in this tournament is superb as is his recent form. Chuck in his engagement and it is a super bet.

I've won a few of these awards on Football Manager and it's awarded to the team that gets the most points, if it's a tie, I think it goes to goal difference. It looks a SUPER bet to me.

"The Manager of the Month is an association football award that recognises the best adjudged Premier League manager each month of the season. The recipient is chosen by a panel assembled by the League's sponsor, and announced alongside the Player of the Month on the first or second Friday of the following month.[1] It has been called the Carling Premiership Manager of the Month (1994–2001) and the Barclaycard Premiership Manager of the Month (2001–2004); it is currently known as the Barclays Manager of the Month.[2]"

ie its a subjective choice

anyway, points about max noted

also points about pochettino or lambert etc noted

5/1 is a price though!
