                                 Mignolet

                      Kompany   Vertognen

Hazard       Fellani   Dembele   Kevin De Bruyne

             Lukaku     Benteke

Mirallas
Witsel
Thibaut Courtois
 Nacer Chadli  (spurs new signing)

The midfield is as good as you will find, Lukaku and Benteke are absolute beasts. Kompany one of the best defenders in the world. Hazard one of the best attacking players in the world. Fellani absolutely solid and De Bruyne looks great too. Dembele is a great player and they have pace and strength everywhere

Recebt results very impressive.

They are currently leaders of their fifa wold cup group

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification_%E2%80%93_UEFA_Group_A

Spain  - Gettign older, got ran over by Brazil recently
Italy 20s . Not for me, not enough quality
Brazil - Obvious favourite but short price
Argentina  Messi obv incred but seems to not be great on international stage and behind him isnt amazing
England 25s - lol

Belgium are 20-1 which I think is a good and fair price. I think by the time they qualify they will get backed heavily as I imagine Hazard, Fellani (especially if at Man United) Lukaku, Kompnay, Mignolet and De Bruyne to have the best seasons of their careers, whilst Demebele and Chadli coulddefinitely perform well too.

I think we could bet outright, or alternatively bet to lay if they qualify through their first group as they dont have as much experience and their odds will be slashed very short and we can green out nicely.

Really don't like this.  They were 100-1 a year ago and I would bet very good money that I could bet them at 16/1 the day before the tournament and I would be able to turn my cash over hundreds of times between now and then and be sure there were no key injuries.

fancy another one tonight

BALADY 7.45 WINDSOR (current best price 28-1 vcbet) £10 win

I have watched with interest all of the ex John Dunlop horses this season with the expectation they may improve for leaving him (he had a poor last few seasons).

This has not happened as much as i thought it would but regardless of that this horse is now very well handicapped and has something it has not for its current stable some cut in the ground.

The trainer has booked Adam Kirby once in the past 3 seasons (horse won) and his booking tonight caught my eye.

Baladys only meaningful run this season was over tonights course and distance in June when a respectable 2nd in the same grade on firmish ground.

Tonights race is almost certainly better than that one with unexposed rivals and more depth. The horse won a fairly decent maiden at Goodwood for Dunlop on soft ground and has never faced that ground since, that run on "figures" was the best of the horses career and if as expected improving 3 or 4lbs for returning to a softer surface tonight she can get in the mix.

The horse has also been keen in a number of races so the first time hood should help on that score.

POSITIVES :

Well handicapped

Course, distance and ground fine

Possible positive jockey booking

NEGATIVES :

Has shown temperament a few times.

Unexposed rivals from top trainers (Charlton and Morrison mainly)

Summary

At the price there are enough positives for a modest bet tonight.

The Favourite has never faced ground like this and may be spared a hard race if not in contention, having said that she is bred to be much better than 66and is an obvious worry.

Hughie Morrison has two with similar profiles, neither seem overly popular in the market early on but either or could be better than there marks.

Thanks John.

Seems worth a dabble.

We have £10 win @ 28/1, BetVictor,  BALADY, 7.45 Windsor.

Details later.

I couldn't disagree more about that Belgium bet. They are plenty short enough as it is at 20-1.

Here is a World Cup bet for you.

Typically only four teams win the World cup. They are Italy, Argentina, Germany and Brazil other than that the host nation will win it, ie France 98, England 66, Uruguay 1930s something, I wouldn't back Belgium to win the Euros with that team, never mind win a World Cup, (price dependant of course). I know Spain are an exception to this rule when the tourny was held in South Africa. I don't actually think Belguim have ever won the Euros? The World Cup when held in South America, has only ever been won by a nation from there which leaves you with 2 from Brazil and Argentina following this rule.

If you want impressive recent results, take a look at Argentina, beat Germany away 3-0, beat Italy away 2-1 the other week, without Messi. You will also find the coach, when Messi has been playing, has now changed the team to revolve around him. In the past, you are correct in saying he has been poor for Argentina, but more research will show you he is now the kingpin so to speak and is performing much better. They have an abundance of talent to choose from, particularly up front and a lot of the team including Messi, are approaching their peak, at 27-28. I dont expect Brazil to win, I expect Neymar to do a Ronaldo like in 98, and collapse under the weight of expectation and at 20 it is a bit much to ask for him to carry a team, which isn't the best of Brazil sides.

i have been backing Argentina for the last 1 and a half years with various doubles and trebles and have been fortunate to get 6-1 in the past. I aim to make a big 5 figure sum, by the time next years World Cup is upon us.

Recommend MAX BET (Whatever that is for thread)

Sorry, they beat Germany 3-1 not 3-0. They have also played and beat brazil a couple of times in last few years.

My local Gaelic club  (all saints) play in a junior championship quarter final tomorrow evening against rasharkin.

They have played twice already this season, once in the league and the other was a cup game game with rasharkin winning both games. Rasharkin are also winning the league with All Saints back in third.

I checked the betting on paddy power earlier and couldn't believe they have All Saints odds on at 8/11 and Rasharkin at 11/8! I recommend a max bet on Rasharkin at 11/8..... I'm not 100% they will win but they really should be 5/6 at best IMO and have already beat All Saints twice so 11/8 is huge.

Welcome to Fred, Micko.

Good news & bad news.

This is your first bet here, so we are on, "blind" so to speak.

Bad news is that only Paddy Power quote this Market, the price has tightened to 11/10 from 11/8, & they Restricted me to £7.94. That apart, no problems......

Can you please let us know the result please, might be awkward for Tighty or us to find it. I'd also be interested - don't ask why - in the result of "Kerry Women v Mayo Women" & "Cork Women v Dublin Women". Not quite sure why that so intrigues me. Is it "Women", not "Ladies" in the ROI? We have Ladies here, tattoos, profanities, pint glasses & all.

Thanks, & Good Luck.

£7.94 @ 11/10, Paddy Power, Rasharkin over All Saints Ballymena

Yeah i have had zero input on TFT so i understand it was a blind bet with little confidence behind my selection.

Anyway, game just over and Rasharkin won by one point in a very close game. £7 on is better than nothing thumbs up

Ha!

Congrats Micko. A winner is a winner, even if it is only £7.

My Nan would say "if you saw a £7 note on the floor, you would pick it up".

Mini-Boom is in order.

How did "Mayo Women" get on? Conjures up such a weird mental image.

Liverpool disposed of Villa by a goal to nil.

Our Lay loses.

Our Pellegrini bet is no longer threatened by Lambert, but enter, stage left, Mr B Rogers.
