Villarreal win 3-0 again

The Yellow Submarine moved atop the league, for now, with their third straight win to open the season.

end season now

please

I only just clicked (thanks to google) what the frequent "Yellow Submarine" references were.

Looks like a good sweat incoming.

No problem Tighty

Tbf they have had probably the easiest start on paper of any team. They are rumoured to be nibbling a couple of players to add to squad, hopefully the good start will encourage the board to complete these now.

Bilbao play R Madrid this morning (11 o clock kick off) fair to say a draw would be a lovely if unexpected result.

Olivier Giroud has scored in 3 games for Arsenal this year.

Paddy Power are offering money back on losing FGS bets if the match ends in a draw.

Paddy Power are top price.

Tal just loves this kind of bet

3 great reasons to put the max on Giroud FGS for Arsenal against the team that aren't quite as good as them with Paddy Power.  I guess it will only be £14.21, but let's do it.

You don't guess as well as Camel. My current Max on that bet is........£2.37 EW!

I'm going to leave it another couple of hours, until just before the game, & try again. I tried last night, it was £2.37 then, too.

Incidentally, Ladbrokes go 8/1 Giroud FGS (£25 Max) , which is a standout price (from NOON onwards only) but without the concession. The Betfair price is 8.4. (approx 7/1 after commission).

How does 8/1 without the concession compare to the 6/1 with concession that PP offer? I should add that Ladbrokes are win only, PP are EW.

in very strange team news Herrera is on the bench for Bilbao

Considering he always starts when fit and is very strongly linked with Man United again today maybe he is going

Not good news for the bet really if true

How much can you get on the nose?  Just take the 8/1, it must be about the same.

Will Hill and Ladbrokes both doing the free bet if 2nd today at the Curragh.  Will be back.

It is Maxed @ £25 I believe, from Noon.

We'll go that route then.

The 4.15 at the Curragh is the "Get us out of the golf hole" stakes.

It features Kiyoshi who was mighty impressive at Ascot, a Aidan O'Brien talking horse and our Ascot winner Rizeena.

I think Kiyoshi should be shortest but isn't, so that should be reason enough to back it.  But we get the money back if 2nd with Hills and Ladbrokes.

Suggest £25 on Kiyoshi with each (15/8 Hills mobile, 2/1 Ladbrokes).  Please don't let BigAdz know who the jockey is, and lets hope he doesn't give the other two a 5 length start.

Are you aware that the Ladbrokes offer is "money back if 2nd IF BEATEN BY A NECK OR LESS"?

Still do it with Lads?

It doesn't say that on the mobile site, just says money back of 2nd all races at the Curragh.

You are correct, my apologies.

I took "15/8 Hills mobile, 2/1 Ladbrokes" too literally, & thought I could use Laddies NON-Mobile.

Just checked, Ladbrokes NON Mobile is "neck or less", Ladbrokes Mobile is just "if 2nd". Bit odd, really!

BOTH bets are on now, at specified prices, details to follow.

Novellist is out today 1605 Baden Baden, in his prep race for the Arc. Thread already has 25 quid on at 5-1 as a free bet. Personally i have this down as a 5 star bet to win the Arc, and I believe it is way too big at 5-1 ante post. Recommend another 25 pounds on Novellist at 5-1 with coral, will hill, or lads. down to as low as 7/2 in some spots! Sure to be shorter bar a freak race today in Germany.

Thanks Spudy.

Any views from our other horse racing chaps on that?

Having followed the Arc for nigh on 50 years, it it not a race I would fancy betting the shop on. Often a rough race, end of season, and the ground can come up bad. Horses prepped specifically for the race, with a short campaign, seem to fare well.

I read somewhere that the connections were saying this was very much a prep race, and the horse wouldn't be 100% today, so it isn't clear that it will go shorter.  I really like the horse, so wouldn't be negative on it.

Edit. FWIW. The free bet is on at 6/1.
