Always last minute with these, especially when there is potential for changing ground.

Latest weather update from the Chompster

Here are a couple of Chompy's tips bringing up the rear at rain sodden Haydock

Meanwhile over at Leopardstown, the sun is causing cracks in the ground.

Can't see any reason to panic yet.

Interesting article on the Olympic hosting bid. Politically & economically the pros & cons for each city seem to add up to a close race, with no stand out "safe" option. Has Madrid got an edge?

Reckless Abandon is a Non Runner

Is this good, bad or indifferent to our bets? Also assuming there is now a rule 4, what prices are our 8/1 and 7/1s now?

Betfair said 12.5% rule 4.  Gordon Lord Byron now best 5/1 (equals Betfair) and Garswood 6/1 (beats Betfair).  I don't think the withdrawal is positive or negative, he seemed to priced about right.  Supposedly raining now, and raining for the next few hours at Haydock, which is positive for the bets.
