Wondering if doobs would advise Zain Eagle@7/4 in the 5pm at donny today?
Ladbrokes have the £25 free bet refund for the whole St Leger meeting not just the Ch4 races.
Only concern would be that it's 3.15 on Betfair, but with the concession I thought it might 'fit' into his category.
Does fred get bpg with laddies?
It looks fine, even if it drifts to 2.25, you ar effectively getting 5/2 on a less than 9/4 chance. Then the best odds means you have a good chance to get bigger. I think anything in that region is probably backable blind.
"Offer", suggested by Nico, backed up by Dr Doobs.
We have £25 @ 7/4, Ladbrokes, Zain Eagle, 5pm Doncaster, MONEY BACK AS FREE BET IF 2nd
ON
13/09/2013 0000433 Single (To win) 1 £25.00 17:00 Race winner Zain Eagle 7/4
BOOM! we did.
Phew, thought I'd missed it.

I wonder why Hills have done this offer anyway? Obviously Ladbrokes have followed.
The whole free bet betting is questionable a d we shouldn't have really bet 5 today, but small fields. You can look at results too, but also we are saving £25 from roll with betting the free bet because a lot of free bets are used instead of using the Fred balance. Plus we get a winner now and again.
Prices on a horse are generally the same across all bookies, so with the offer on, seems insane to miss out?

It is no different to Freerolls on a Poker Site. They cost a bunch of money for the Site, BUT they get people ON THE SITE, & from there it is a short step to "convert". All a site needs is to get people on the site, it is easy after that. It is effectively a Marketing Cost.
I think as I mentioned first thing this morning, today was a very unusual day, with all the small fields. Very rare that happens, first time fior us I think.

I am unclear on that.
We had a similar thing last week, & I said we did NOT get GP with Ladbrokes, but someone pointed out I was wrong, & I was.
As to today, I just don't know, & I need to get the dog walked, it's way overdue, but Ladbrokes are often slow to settle. I'll let you know soonest.
Come on doggy, ZZZZZZ, zzzzz, ..........

Sorry I have no time, but most of these are written up elsewhere
For discussion
- Harlequins v Northampton in the RU tonight. Should be a cracker, Northampton are 3 point dogs but the weather is going to be grim, and Northampton have strengthened in the off season. A stray fiver on the draw at 20-1 is a possible for me. Northampton outright 11/8, 10/11 +3 I like, whereas I wouldn't have selected that last season.
- England in the 4th ODI tomorrow are out to 11/8. Australia were 4/5 before the first ODI, 4/6 before the 2nd and 3rd and 4/7 now
In part this is because Eng are stubbornly sticking to a line up lacking a fith bowler but there is a big toss bias in England in September. Cardiff tomorrow starts at 10.15am and whoever wins the toss is favourite. England currently 11/8 and thats value for a heads/tails call assuming the game then goes to a -difficult to bat first, advantage in batting second under D/L pattern that is typical of these games
- NFL is tougher this week I think but I think my pick is St Louis +7 at Atlanta. St Louis are much improved. Solid defense, more point scoring options, good long field goal kicker. Atlanta are hurting on the OL, and at WR. +7 St Louis is very much a price set off last year's form and not really a reflection of the health of both teams going into this game
No comments on thread about that, but several NFL whizzkids have been in touch & told me thy like that bet, so we'll likely get on.
Anyone against, speak now or hold your peace forever.......
As a rule, we back Tighty blind, but he made two things clear...
1) He is obliged to come up with a tip on every Televised game, whether he likes it or not.
2) This was for discusseion only, & I did not think he had a particularly strong view.
St Louis/Atlanta isn't Televised in the UK
It's my standout NFL bet of the week, and I am writing it up tomorrow
For discussion really means: I haven't got the time to write them up properly this afternoon and there are several very good NFL minds on the thread. If you back the view up, please post......
The cricket bet is very much related to the toss, and is less strong a view
I think that is a decent bet at +7, I liked the over 47 here too but the practice reports have been a bit iffy for some skill players which might explain why it went to 47 1/2 in a lot of spots but is back down to 47 now. St Loius O really impressed me last week, got speed and size and lots of options.
cheers

Thats it for now, I need to take the dog for a walk.
I'll be a bit pre-occupied this evening, too, Allotment Society get-together, but I'll be on & off to get bets sorted.
.
Haha, that last line made my chuckle mate. I have a very strange image in my head now of you shall we say juggling two jobs.

Hills paid out with the best price. They definitely had a banner today saying ALL races at Doncaster. Worth remembering for next time that we don't get best price with Ladbrokes.
Did they send you an email?

I miased that Banner, my bad, & no, I never got the e-Mail. It was all a bit frenetic this afternoon, & I've got some stuff going off at home, too.
Think I may have forgotten to tick a box when I opened my Hills Account (11 years ago!), as I don't get many e-Mails from them spamming stuff.
Cost us nearly £20 bloody quid there.
Next time we will PUNISH THEM

If anyone has a working
account then the 13/8 Galahad on points tomorrow night is a stupid price.
