wow shes good
Haven't seen it, but sounded so. 2 free bets and Intello e/w for thread, I think. Just Moonlight Cloud to come.
You'll be impressed I think, it was all over in a few strides, 2f out.
Was that the ride that Dettori had been booked for?
It was, makes his injury feel even worse im sure! Also I think it was the horse that a lot of people were writting off due to the wide draw and the trainer came out and said this:
"The draw is no problem," said the Chantilly trainer.
"There are good horses everywhere and there are bad horses everywhere, the best horse will win.
"At this distance all the talk about the draw is crazy. I could understand it if the race was over a mile at Longchamp but over 2,400 metres? Give me a break.
"My filly needs to be behind horses anyway, that is how she runs. The best horse will win, we won't use the draw as an excuse.
"In our case it could have been worse if we were drawn on the inside anyway because of her style. As long as there is pace in the race there should be no problems and there usually is when the foreign horses run.
"The new jockey will make no difference to the filly but it does to Frankie. It is unfortunate that he got a bad injury doing his job.
"Jarnet knows her well, he rode all the time in the beginning.
"The best horse will win, I'm sure of that."

I don't often back the favourites in a cycle race, but the Giro di Lombardia tomorrow offers too good an opportunity:
Joaquin Rodriguez ( or "Purito" (
little cigar
)) is in outstanding form at the moment, having come 4th in the Vuelta and 2nd in last week's World Championships by a wheel. Tomorrow's classic (of which Rodriguez is the defending champion) is known as the "climber's classic", and as such, will probably be decided on the slopes of the Villa Vergano (3.2km long / ave. gradient 7.4% / 15% steeps near the top). This is ideal territory for a punchy climber like Rodriguez, and like last year, I am guessing this will be where he will drop the rest of the riders, before dashing downhill the final 10km to the finish.
I believe he will succeed, as he was arguably robbed of victory last week, and needs either a 1st or 2nd (with no points for Froome) to jump into the lead of the UCI World Tour rankings (which he has won the last two years). Plenty of motivation then.
PaddyPower are offering a standout 6/1, and so I recommend £10 on the win for Rodriguez. The nits might like the e/w possibilities, but I'm confident it's either 1st or bust for Purito this week. I'm sure Tonji will approve.
There it is, in all it's glory, & it happened exactly as predicted, too.
Chuffed to bits, thank you. Tonji will be proud of you!
£10 EW @ 6/1, qtr odds 1,2,3.

Lose all that money on a horse race and "snap" recover it in the cycling. Must be nice!
I have read race cards this weekend about as well as I'd handle the Screwfix catalogue. Hasn't been pretty!
Well done all who were on, especially CWS. Top tipsterage.

Two free bets you say..?
http://sports.williamhill.com/bet/en-gb/betting/e/4907112/Strictly%2dCome%2dDancing%2d2013%2d%2d%2dOutright.html
Can't help but notice there are only fourteen names there.
Maybe something to consider if we don't have any horses when the time comes. Could back someone who will still be in in a month or so and then lay off a shorter price on the exchange. I know that's suboptimal, but it is there as an option.

Thanks Tal, Tikay. I wish it was always so simple, this cycling nonsense. It's very pleasing when everything takes place exactly as predicted, but that doesn't happen often. Makes me look good though when it does. Hope more got on.
