A little puzzled that Bristol City ( winless in 21 and propping up the division ) are 11/8 faves away to improving Carlise who have lost 1 in 7 new manager and a couple recent deese signings..Missing something?

Any time you could tip a winner would be nice...Aaron>The Sicilian

Sheffield United won well, was just saying £80 not nearly enough.  Whistling smiley.

tbf beating a very leaky crewe (worst defence in league by a mile) does not prove a thing really

nice start though

I study the footy only, try and look at travelling distances, Goals Conceded and Scored for obvious reasons, thought The "Os" were a steal at 4/5 today, scrapped a 1-0 win, gl guys in the Poker Comp, met a few of you on the cash Yesterday, why do I fold the Kings in that spot, watching Barca and may pop down later, but I got in with the milkman this morning so may just lurk on Dtd Results page, Apologys if I was a bit brash before.

I see that Scotty had already suggested 2 dogs for tonight's Ledger heats and I am sure Tikay won't be short of suggestions on track given the motley crew that is assembled. I would like to suggest that we back T5 in the 8.42 - Airlie Impact.

This dog finished a very credible second in the Derby always doing his best work late on and you could often see him galloping on to the pick-up. I think this is definitely a dog to keep side with over the longer distance.  Throughout the derby heats his times got better and better. The trainer Paul Young knows the time of day with his dogs and will have him in good fettle and the dog recently had a trial over the distance 2 weeks ago.

I took the 7/4 early on thinking I had a good price but there is some 2/1 out there with Bet365.

In the first heat I wouldn't put anyone off backing the dog in T1.

I am sure the hot topic in Wimbledon today will be the BCS college football standings etc..

Anyway todays games involving fred:

12.UCLA (+23.5) at 3.Oregon- UCLA is probably the 2nd best team on the Ducks schedule and this is a primetime game even college gameday is in Eugene* for the game (think Soccer am on location). Great spotlight for Mariota to show his skills once again especially with a geniune rival now, UCLA also have Anthony Barr on defence who is very likely to go near the top of next years NFL draft.

Jameis Winston our main Heisman rival has a home game against Wake Forest which will be a beatdown probably.

Vanderbilt (+18.5) at Texas A&M- We only need one more loss to lock this up for fred. Can't see this being it today though, Vanderbilt are comptent but our constantly hampered by being the only SEC team that cares about academics. If you are not the brightest you can get a university education in America by being awesome at sport but Vandy is one of the few who actually require you to actual get good grades to get on the sports teams.

Longy, is it worth a bet to back UCLA +23.5 at evens with Paddy for whatever we can get on?

ETA: bwin go 10/11 for +24 (as do but we cant get on with them)

If I was forced to take a side I would go with UCLA but they have a bunch of injuries on the offensive line which got exposed at Stanford last week.

24 is lot to give a side that is very likely a top 15 side if not better but games involving oregon are difficult as they blowout so many sides out who simply can't stop them scoring. You do get some backdoor cover equity though when oregon pulls the starters in the 4th quarter.

Pity, if I'd seen this I would have gone for the +24 at bwin.

However, that's all gone now and I would want the +24 for security as 24 is a big number in American Football - so no bet.
