FWIW I think UCLA +24 is worth a bet in its own right.  It has pretty much gone though stateside though.

Must be pretty happy being a mizzou fan at the moment.

He's absolutely buzzing, he really loves his college football and brought a load of merchandise out to vegas for us to wear this summer, so they're the adopted team of our forum Smiley

He is actually coming to the UK in November, but said that he will fly back early if they qualify for the championship game, which they all but do if they can beat South Carolina.

Strictly update. Rachel wasn't very good at all.  She deserves to be bottom 2, but could easily get a big sympathy vote as she looked upset.  Deborah Meehan was favourite to go, but danced ok.  Dave was terrible as usual.  I don't think Ben danced well at all, he needs to improve to be top boy, but Hollyoaks bloke wasn't good either.

Susanna good, Nat and Abbey best.  Don't think Sophie did enough to justify a short price, but she had been a mike ahead in the polls, so all good for those of us who have backed her.

I am sure some elbows were too pointy and some top lines weren't great.

Difficult to predict a bottom 2, because of the likely sympathy vote and the Dave fan club.   Happy to be on Deborah, but putting off the bet on Rachel looks a mistake, time running out for her.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=30

A profit of £18.30 on Saturday, with truncated activity due to work and play pressures!

- Carlisle lost at home to Bristol City, but it is ok he was only asking for opinions  Wink -£20

Some significant progress in longer term bets

The fifth ODI between Australia and India was washed out. Tremendous news as that is one less opportunity for people to catch Bailey who is now 139 runs ahead with two games to play

Suarez hat trick for Liverpool. Now has 6 goals since his suspension, is two behind Sturridge and 3-1 Joint jolly for the golden boot. We have 20-1 e/w

Danny Ings scored two for Burnley. He now has 8, one behind Jordan Rhodes and we have 25-1 each way for the Championship golden boot

Vettel on pole in India and needs to finish at least 5th to secure our two F1 WDC bets tomorrow

Elsewhere on longer term bets

Nugent scored for the Greatest team

Rodriguez scored for Southampton (who are not going to be relegated)

Arsenal for the top three looks an inspired bet (Palace still look good to finish bottom)

Liverpool bottom half doesn't

Tranmere won 3-2 in a rare and diappointing win

Reading were pegged back by a late Millwall equliaser to draw 1-1

Sheffield United's march to the play offs began with a 3-1 victory

Barnsley led against Wednesday but drew 1-1. Point closer to 12th I suppose

Bale didn't get a sniff in Elclassico, so thats another game without a goal

Cardiff got a point in their march on to Handicap glory

No sign of goals from Assombolonga or Wells (back from injury) or Vokes or Bent

Texas A and M and Mariotta news seperately as not played at the time of writing on Saturday evening

Sunday...NFL action, Watford, Navas, Hull City, Paulinho, La Liga for our various bets

I'm not sure if it was widely known, or mentioned on the show tonight?

but Ben Cohen is profoundly deaf, and is in Strictly come dancing..having to dance steps in time. Quite a feat really

We know the Mens competitors aren't the strongest - the top contestants are all female

Feel sure the deafness/scale of his achievement can't harm the potential top bloke bet. He only has the excruciatingly dull Hollyoaks actor to beat.

Someone pop the top bloke prices up when the market re-forms

We've prevaricated over this bet for a fortnight now

Meanwhile Gumball and Sophie Ellis Cold as Ice are 7/4 joint in the outright http://www.oddschecker.com/tv/strictly-come-dancing/winner

Suarez is as low as 5/2 in spots....http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/top-goalscorer

Ings into 8/1 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/top-goalscorer

While everyone is away at the dogs, I am sorely tempted to take the Suarez green out, lay it back and run shot to nothing

5/2 has to be too short?

Can you green at 5/2 though?  5/2 is too short for sure for a player that could end up outside the league in January not withstanding his ability to get himself in trouble.

Can a Jan sale be ruled out completely?

Cracking bet anyway well done

Happy to take advice as to a strategy to green out and a price

We have £20 e/w at 20-1

My gut feel is 5/2 is too short.

Golden Boot is a competitive heat this year

Suarez, Sturridge, Giroud, RVP, Aguero, Negredo? Benteke? just off the top of my head

Suarez's great start has seen the price contract very quickly and perhaps provides the opportunity to do it

The biggest risk to the Suarez bet is that he gets sold in Jan, the only buyers are Real. They have just lost Elclassico and Bale is doing less than nothing so a) they need a player and b) they need new shirt sales (he won't sell many now) so a new signing is a must.

However LFC are riding high (for them) so he may want to stay - but S is from S American so I guess Real is always the dream to play for.

Green out - don't worry they will all be drunk / hung over and won't notice. Wink

I thought we had backed Ben?  I know I did.  I wouldn't back him after tonight, Hollyoaks looked to have a bad night to me, and still rightfully outscored him.  Ben just looks wooden to me, and all the ones above him in the betting look far ahead.  He looks plenty short enough in the overall to my eyes.

I think he was tipped at 6/1 or so, at that price he doesn't look bad value, but  given the overall price looks so short, I can't see us even getting 3/1.
