I think Horseplayer and Bobby1 were spot on with the Sheff Utd bet.

Last 3 results will have built their self belief and confidence is a big factor in sport.

They haven't won away for ages but they drew at Peterborough in their last away game, I think Chompy was saying they looked a decent side. They play Shrewsbury on Saturday who have had some tough away fixtures but have drawn with Colchester in their last home game.

I've just backed United at 17/10 and think that price will drop.

I'd recommend a modest £15 on a United win.

Another golf bet I fancy, this time on the more obscure Challenge Tour Final.

Played by the top 45 players, one stands out after a massive result in the CIMB Classic that finished yesterday.

He finished 16th, a shot ahead of the likes of Fowler and Mickleson, and played solid all week, and if he had sunk a putt or two would have been Top 10. This year has been great for following in form players, and this big drop in grade will feel like a walk in the park after mixing it in the big league

Easily one of the best players on the Challenge Tour he looks a very backable 20-1 with Paddy P.

As you can only get on with PP, lets make it  £7.50 ew, in the hope you dont get maxed

Wonder who Doobs likes for Strictly this week?

It isn't that difficult to find popularity, likes etc.

I think the obvious is to start backing Dave Myers fir next elimination.  If he gets in the bottom 2, he is gone.  His popularity isn't as great as you might think in the polls.  Eg Digital Spy has Patrick bottom, then Fiona and Dave, then Rachel.  Of course the TV votes may not reflect that, but there is a big gap between the no hopers and the top performers, so it is perm 2 from 6 (if we stretch a bit and include Ben and Mark).  Whichever it is I get him at biggest around 2/1 for bottom 2 and if he is in the bottom 2, he should be long odds on.  That makes the 4/1 on offer in several spots to be pretty generous.

Think Tikay should be having a piece, maybe £20?  I have a little more on.

On the others, I think Rachel is much more likely to be bottom 2 than she was last week.   I think we missed the boat on Abbey, she has been good the last couple of weeks, and now seems popular too.  Too late for the 9/1 though.
