Morning Mr T.
In this afternoons ATP tennis match Nadal plays Ferrer. The head to head is 21-6 in Nadal's favour which explains the 18/5 odds for a Ferrer win. However with a bit more digging we can make a strong case for backing Ferrer. Of Nadal's 21 wins 17 of them have been on clay, 4 on a hard court and none indoors. Indeed his last hard court win against Ferrer was in 2010.
Ferrer's wins have been 3 hard court, 2 indoors and a solitary clay win in 2004.
I heard a statistic the other day that I can't precisely remember but it was something along the lines that Nadal has only won 2 tournaments that were held after the US open in his entire career. He hasn't looked the same player since he won this years US open. The manner of Ferrer's win last week on an indoor court is good enough for me to support him today at odds of more than 3-1.
Suggest £25 Ferrer @ 18/5 with betvictor.

Sned has pulled out. Thats why the price looks so good Sir!
Lordy Lordy, that explains it!
He is still listed by 5 firms, too.

Yup, knee injury
Should we be e/w 5 places Leishman (16/1) and Fowler (14/1) because of the shape of the market? I missed the Scott price, so did this instead. Might be a bit marginal though.

Certainly the next best two Doobs. Makes sense to cover, and as a banzai you could almost chuck in Peter Senior who loves the event and finished 2nd last week. Getting old but first 5 at 40s gives you some wiggle room.

I have never had one to my knowledge, but these are adjusted prices now.

Joined you with Senior too. Nobody goes 6 places anymore.
Shame Fred never really made any money from it.

Daniel McDonnell @McDonnellDan 5m
Confirmation on official appointment of Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane is expected shortly enough - within the hour according to Newstalk

Thanks OKTA Man.
Looks a classic value situation, Nadal has to be a worthy favourite, but at 18/5, Ferrer must be much better value, especially with those stats.
We are all aboard the Ferrer Express.

So should Fred follow in? We only have £20 on Scott, so not much room for "cover" as such, but always happy for a good ew value punt.
Advise, please.

I doubt that. Ugh.
Surely they'll not appoint "Joint" Managers?
