Quick update on the season long Ottawa Senators bet.
They continued their variegated form last night by bettering the Florida Panthers by a score of 3-2. They currently stand 7th in the embryonic Eastern Conference table but have lost 4 games in overtime and are currently 0-3 in shoot outs (which occur if there is a tie at the end of overtime). It's widely accepted that these are coinflip situations and if they'd run at expected variance they'd be tied for 2nd. Still well over 3/4 of the regular season remaining.

Ali was saying that Kendall Wright is now 7/1 with PP and 9/1 best price, which is correct.
However, Delanie Walker is still available at 14/1 with PP, and is best 9/1 elsewhere.

My NFL Column this week talks about the Bengals. We are well placed, but there are clouds on the horizon due to injuries
"Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens
Every team is dealing with injuries at this point in the season, but the Bengals have been hit with huge injury problems.
All-Pro defensive tackle Geno Atkins went down with a season-ending ACL injury last week to become the fourth defensive starter (along with No. 1 corner Leon Hall, safety Taylor Mays and Defensive End Robert Geathers) to land on the Injured Reserve. Starting middle linebacker Rey Maualuga and Andy Dalton’s blind-side Andrew Whitworth missed last week’s game and will both probably be on the sidelines again this Sunday when the Bengals visit the Ravens.
That said, the Bengals are in a relatively comfortable place in the AFC North standings. They’re 6-3, and the rest of the division — Browns (4-5), Ravens (3-5) and Steelers (2-6) — is a mess. However, a loss on Sunday might open the door for Baltimore to sneak back into the race, especially with a second Bengals/Ravens game on the last game of the season.
The biggest thing working against that potential Ravens revival? They’re just not that good this season. Their biggest issue is the running game which has resulted in Baltimore averaging a league-low 2.78 yards a carry this year However all the indications are that Ray Rice is finally healthy and ready to have a far more effective second half of the season. With Atkins missing, the stars are aligned for this to begin on Sunday
To see the Ravens priced as 2 point underdogs on the spread to a Bengals team so beat up is an opportunity. The Ravens need to win badly, they are at home and the spread offered reflects the risks"

Haven't had a bet yet but this is also one of the few I like this week.
I think this game may be a good opportunity to introduce Fred to the delights of NFL teasers. This is a really great game to use in teasers. Can anyone give me an idea which books Fred has access to offer teasers (if any)
You'll have to explain this to me, Stu. Use short words, please.
Okay - so teasers are bets offered by some bookmakers (they are very popular in the States) in American football and basketball where in return for having to bet more teams you get a better handicap. In NFL it is generally 6,6.5 or 7 points. So lets take the example of the Ravens and Denver games. The Ravens +2 10/11 and Denver are -7 10/11. In this example you can "tease" Baltimore to +8 and Denver to -1 with a 6 point teaser and they both would have to cover the news spreads for you to get paid at, say, 10/11. 95% of the time in NFL and almost always in college football and all basketball these bets are a bookmakers benefit but there are certain spots where they represent very good value. Normally this is when you can tease across key pointspreads such as 3 and 7 but also sometimes when the totals are very low and each point becomes worth more. The more I think about this the more I realise the potential for epic misclickages....and to be honest I am not sure which firms offer them in the UK but they do offer some value in certain spots and I think the Ravens and potentially Tampa Bay and Philadelphia are good "teaser" teams this week.
Go on, put up a bet for us please !
Caveat emptor
The only UK book that I can see that offers them is 365. It is on their site under "teaser card". The best bet would be a 4 team 6 point teaser which pays 3-1. Eagles +7, Baltimore +8, Tampa Bay +8.5 and NY Giants -1.
Can anyone help me find this "Teaser Card" on Bet365 please?

Texas A&M won 51-41, as expected and it is somewhat encouraging that defence is not improving. We would be very unlucky to not get home from here as they finish their schedule @lsu @missouri, both games I expect them to be slight underdogs in.
Our cover bet on Winston should still rock solid as Florida state thumped wake forest 59-3, though Winston has little to do and was pulled at some point in the 2nd half. In unsubtle bragging news I am going to live rail mr Winston next week as I am off to Florida and have a ticket for their home game against Syracuse next Saturday.

Have we just run bad with schedules then?
Or have Florida beaten a tough team that hasn't been mentioned?

Have come back, given you haven't had a Strictly bet. Trepidation abounds...
I'm going to push my luck even more now.
I've just posted the below on the NFL Thread but realise the majority of our American Footballists will be perusing this thread today, so I'll copy it here as I'd like a little feedback.
"
Have had a bet on there being more than 5.5 sacks in the Houston-Arizona game. Only Skybet offers the market, so I can't post it as a recommend/suggestion on Tips for Tikay.
Arizona's left tackle has missed a few days with 'flu this week. He will play but he has to deal with JJ Watt. On the other hand, the Cards pressured Ryan last week to 4INTs and Keenum will have no running game available with Foster out. Tate has four injured ribs. I've also learned (was news to me) that chasing the QB out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage counts as a sack. Seems interesting, anyway. Slightly north of Even money with Skybet.
Anyone else have any thoughts?
"
My bet so far is a tentative one, given my level of expertise is - to be polite -
developing
. Should I be more confident?

You fecking miserable barstewards!
Last 3 weekends 10-1, 20-1 and 7-2 winners, and not a single PM.
Typical Brits the lot of you, build you up, just to knock you down.

Morning Mr T.
Just a couple of questions .
Isn't it time we put the Camel's bookings theory to the test in the Arsenal v Man Utd game?
Is there any mileage in Tighty's Homer Simpson NFL referee today ? I backed him the other week when the home team were hosting Denver and it came in and felt bad that Fred had missed out.
By the way Mr Adz top tipping. Could we by chance have a separate thread " Big Adz's tipping your way towards paying for Christmas? ". Sometimes people get deluged with all the tips on here and miss your gems.

I have a feeling the train might have left the station for this particular market.
Prepared to give it one final shot as the line is so low today though.
