for those who can/want to/can be bothered

our old friends the betfair sportsbook are still 6/1 Messi

A nice free bet will be the worse outcome for anyone there providing they will lay you more than 3.33

I can't find that on the Sportsbook John, can you assist, please?

football,specials, balon d or

still 6/1 there

Super spot, Horsey!

What's Spanish for Value Pie?

Found it on Mobile, thanks.

They go 1/5 Ronaldo, which sort of suggests it is a done deal, but we have had a fiver @ 6/1. Stranger things.........

Blackpool 3 red cards.

Derby evens to beat them on Saturday. Coral, Paddy or bwin.

It can't last.

Suggest £50.

I was pre-occupied elsewhere last night, so never had chance to thank you, or comment.

For those who don't follow football too closely, & wondered what it is all about, Blackpool had THREE players red-carded v Yeovil last night,  & the whole essence of the bet, & the timing, was that the Bookies do not always react quick enough to these things.

This was a typical Camel pro-betting spot.

I'm surprised the price has not contracted further (yet?), but Derby are now 5/6 best, 3/4 & 4/5 in places.

Nah, 5/6 or 4/5 seems the right price now.

You have successfully made about a fiver in equity.

Just need the players on the pitch to turn that expected value into cold hard cash.

That's the tough part.

If it helps, send me a fiver, & I'll call it square.

Which reminds me......I got a Bank TX from you last week for about £6. What was that for, please?

Morning.

After some long days cooped up in a hotel with just CNN for company, spent plenty of time swotting.

Just had a few quid on Messi, but it does occur with the price going as quickly as it does that we are kidding ourselves in some of these thin markets, and even some racing ones(evening racing at Wolves, Catterick on a weds evening etc), that half a dozen of us whacking a ton on a price is going to crush it. Yet after twenty mins we all congratulate ourselves on getting value, but its probably only us that have affected things.
I'm not articulating my point very well, but I think you get the gist.

Anyway, Mr Speith. Not really too bothered about rinswun concerns at this stage. To be in the Top echelon you naturally have to be near the top in some of the major components of the game, Driving, Putting, Resce etc. Speith may have been top for a certain length put, but overall some of his stats are very poor. Sand saves, strokes on Par threes, accuracy from 50 yards in etc. The very fact he is good at something doesnt automatically mean he can nly get worse this year. At 20, I expect much of the facets of his game to improve.
As he has said himself, he played so many different grass types this year he has never encountered, he now knows how to play them in furture. Previously the first two rounds were learning experiences.
I for one shall be sticking with him, and having read about how hard he has been working the last few weeks on the weaker parts of his game, I would still recommend a bet on him this week. Temper it if you like but first 4 in an 18 man field @ 22s, yum yum, Have a tenner each way, as we have come this far!

SPOTY
Cant help thinking McCoy to win in the W/O Murray market needs a bet.
A past winner who only gets more popular each year, hitting a massive milestone and warmed received all round. Let us not forget, Mo Farrah won two Olympics golds last year and didnt even get a first three. Frome hasn't had the headlines the other cycling boys have had, and if there is atill any 5/2 about, get some on it. Welcome any comments

Anyway, good to be home!

It is equity for a bet we hadn't even envisaged at the time yet obv. Forethought, see.

(Ok, it was the refund from the unused second bullet for the GUKPT satty at the Vic a couple of weeks ago - thanks for reminding me, have got to send a couple more)

Jordan bigger on Betfair.  As I said earlier I got 29/1, currently 28/1.

Edit that McDowell 7/2 the place long gone.  Power of thread I guess

Hi Adz,

A few thoughts on SPOTY. Traditionally the cycling fans have got the vote out. Froome however doesn't have the same media profile as Wiggo & Cavendish. The fans will still vote, but perhaps not with the conviction of years gone by. IMO could still scrape into 3rd.

After the Froome/Wiggo stories, I'd assume Froome was toast in that Market.

The Messi suggestion was letting fred followers no they could get a quite easy free bet on the contest or even better green up

Appears quite a few now have a nice green book on the contest for little effort something which is always nice

Personally i did not get involved

Hi mate.

Yes, He could do, I worry more about the golfer. Much as I like Justin Rose, you only have to look at the wonderful Darren Clarke story, to see that only the real household golf names stand a chance, and I dont see Justin having the same profile as a Rory, or even a Luuuuuuuke.
