World Darts Outrights.

Huybrecht, £20 @ 50/1

Jelle Klaasen, £8.60 @ 200/1

Phil Taylor, £80 @ 15/8

Adrian Lewis, £25 @ 6/1, Money Back as Free Bet if Taylor wins

100 averages, Nine or more, £40 @ 5/4

I think the Klaasen bet needs killing.

£50 on Sophie Ellis Bextor to win Strictly at 4/1 with BetVictor or Boyles.  Sure to be able to trade out at shorter.  Big charge going on, she went 9/2 yesterday (sigh at missing Coral's e/w).  Gogogo

Groan......

Oddly, just minutes ago, a well-renowned SCD expert & devotee PM'd me to tell me to get on.......Abbey Clancy!

I've not got a clue what is going on here.

Anyway, I missed the 4/1 with BMU, 7/2 now, but got £50 @ 4/1 with Boylesports.

BET PLACED

You could probably bet both.  Abbey bigger than Betfair too.

Tonji, to what extent do things like the course design and snow conditions play a role for these people? Are (eg) downhill races all the same length, the same expected average speed, the same difficulty? Obviously, when I say "the same", I mean within reason; I do realise mountains are different shapes.

Essentially a horses for courses question.

How much, @ what price? Best price I can get on Abbey is 11/4.

Can't believe Miss Gumball is 9/1, thought we had the winner in her.

Gumball is the best dancer

Sadly as we have been saying for weeks, the final is a 100% public vote, and she is not popular enough. In fact, actively disliked by some

Abbey or Sophie at the price is correct. The Susanna ship sailed minus a thread bet about a fortnight ago

You could just put up a £50 lay at 4.2 on Betfair now.  If it gets taken fine, we have a freebie, if it doesn't we have Sophie at a big price.  Win, win.  I am not laying mine off FWIW.

Don't get the hostility, reality TV is where the big edges are.  Next people will be grouching at the Hills offers.

Might even volunteer to do Sunday's round up if she wins.   There isn't much to report on the average Sunday.

OK, just need to look up what I was supposed to do.

Chompy suggested something, as did Tighty, but I can't recall what we agreed.

Not so much hostility, as bamboozlement. Sort of "wft are they all talking about?"

Don't be silly on the Hills offers, nobody would be daft enough to chunter about them.

I think Chompy probably has it right, he being more experienced than I in these things

Lay £150 at 1.41

He wins £500-£61.50= £438.50

Each way £100+£150-£20= £230

He loses £150-£40=£110

win win win and we can still funk the original bet

The deed is done.

We laid £150 @ 1.42. Liability £63. I think.

BET PLACED

We are still funking for him to win but clear three figures any way up

hey Tal,

Devil in the detail...yep, snow conditions can change day to day, icy, new snow powder etc. Skiers set up with regard to conditions can gain or loose seconds if your choice of ski is just not working, ie too sharp, or too grippy & scrubs off speed.

Each course has particular characteristics, but each event will have a different Official design the turns. So on downhill, you can get sections for gliders (suits big racers with good aero position), or fast turns & jumps (suiting the technical & smaller racer).
