Analifet is to my eye far and away the best juvenile hurdler seen out this season and runs again today at Leopardstown in a grade 2 where she will be prohibitive odds-on. If she wins convincingly as expected the 8/1 currently available for the Triumph Hurdle will look extremely generous.

In a rather odd departure from their current business model badcrooks are dangling the tasty morsel that is the standout 8/1 and deserve to be punished.

Recommend £20 Analifet @ 8/1 for The Triumph Hurdle.

Interesting name that, Ralph, any idea how it was derived, & why?

Morning Mr T.

Ripple follows Welsh rugby more than anyone else on here so I would pay more attention to him than me. I think the 6/5 has gone though and it's 11/10 now. In the other Welsh Pro12 game, Newport Dragons v Cardiff, I like low points, just for a change I hear you say. Walking in the park yesterday for the first time ever my route was flooded and I had to detour, so I couldn't go past Home Park football ground. Rugby pitches everywhere must be sodden so low points is the play.

Suggest £24 under 36.5 points @ 5/6 with Betvictor.

Another winning month Mr T ! How many now? Who'd a thunk it?

Mrs Adz has always had a soft spot for Chompy. She likes the fact he is so well versed on CBB, BB, X Factor etc.

Having just seen that he also reads Digital Spay she has extended an invitation to this weeks Ladies Coffee Morning, where he will obviously fit in well.

Thanks hector.

I think you mean rubbish, not ripple, the latter is an expert on cricket & fathering twins I believe.

Another winning month?

Not yet, we can still grasp defeat, we have 6 days left. But if we do hang on, it'll be 8 months on the bounce, though the last losing month - April - was a whopper, at an eye-watering £1,231.

But yes, we are going along nicely, & we have an incredible array of experts here, on all manner of things, even trichological matters.

Scarlets host Ospreys this afternoon in what should be a fiercely contested Derby. The Scarlets are without four of their starting backs and are on a losing sequence of four games. The Ospreys have beaten Castre at home, lost narrowly away and beat the Blues away last time out. They have Hibbard, Beck and Ryan Jones returning although Tipuric misses out.

Everyone has the Scarlets as favourites and you can get 6/5 for an Ospreys win with Betfred. Welsh Derbys usually go to the home team but the Ospreys haven't lost to a Welsh club since January this year. Personally I would have the Ospreys favourites which is why I've had a large bet on them. I would suggest £30 for you, game kicks off at 14.00 today.

Whilst I dithered, I lost the price, but I need to get off now, so I've invested £20 (as the price is worse) @ 11/10, thank you.

PUNISH THEM

Lord Grumpy would be proud of you, Ralph.

How was the roast beef & yorkshire pud yesterday? Hope you got the temperature of the fat just so, & allowed the meat to breathe, the way I suggested. Queued up at the regular butchers too, I hope?

BET PLACED

I'm so glad you asked as I actually got my Yorkshire puddings nigh on perfect yesterday and it did cross my mind that you would have approved.

After queuing for a mere hour and a quarter on Xmas Eve my friend Tony the butcher surprised me with a lovely rib of my favourite Little Dexter which he had secretly kept back especially for me.

It didn't disappoint either.

Ha, I much missed not having Xmas Dinner with you yesterday, you cook with such pride & care, & your Yorky Puds & Roasties are the best.

Can't believe you queued for over an hour, I simply NEVER queue if I can avoid it. At your age, I'm surprised you feel you can spare the time, too.

Anyone watching this race at Sedgfield?

The commentary is hilarious.

The clerk of the course walked around Kempton yeterday and expects the going to be "no worse than soft" for today's racing.

I'd be amazed if that were true.

The news reports have emphasised that Surrey had the worst of the rain, & the River Mole, which originates 2 miles from Kempton, from the Thames, burst its banks in several places.

It rained heavily overnight again.

The ground doesn't look heavy to me.  Cue Card charge.
