Anyway, my point was Hyde. We want to be backing Macc to win by more than a goal in a monsoon/howling wind?
Not sure I do (if it was good weather, yes, of course, looks a good tip)
Get your point Tighty and well made.
I understand where you are coming from bu it can it not also go the other way, from set pieces and corners a keeper's nightmare etc.
However weather in Hyde isnt that bad. Wind only 24MPH.

I have to agree, and it looks like it's very wet everywhere. Here in Herts it hasn't stopped since I woke up.
The rain is very wet too. My wife always tells me that all rain is wet. I advocate that some rain is wetter than others. The wetter stuff disperses quicker as it hits the windscreen when you are driving. Anyway I digress.

I still wouldn't want to put you off even if it's not quite right for Fred. They really are not a Conference side at all.

suggest £100
Richard Hannon Jnr to beat Richard Hannon Snr's 2013 UK winners' tally
ladbrokes under future horse racing 2014 racing specials 2-1
hills 5-4 from 2-1 this morning same bet lads were 3-1 but 2-1 is still more than fair i make this about a 50-50 shot gives a nice year sweat as well
reasoning in a bit dont think the 2-1 will last to long
Hannon snr had 235 winners this calendar year obviously a lot but Hannon Junior has been doing a fair chunk of the work already for years so no reason to expect the strike rate to drop, throw in the fact Hannon Junior has 40 2 year olds coming in from another arab leading owner i struggle to see why the philosophy of lots of runners will change.
Thanks John.
I think that might be a very good bet indeed @ 2/1, but we shall see.
As you note, Wm Hill currently offer 5/4 for this, still available this moirning. Ladbrokes seem to have withdrawn the Market as of this morning - or at least, I can no longer find it.
We took the 2/1 yesterday, for £100, so that's booked.
31/12/2013 0000505 Single (To win) 1 £100.00 2014 Racing Specials 2014 Racing Specials Richard Hannon Jnr to beat Richard Hannon Snr's 2013 UK winners' tally 2/1
BET PLACED
Lads went as low as 5-4 last night before taking the market down.
It is quite hard to price up but the more i look at it the more i think the price "should" be about 10-11ish
In case anyone is interested, & thinks 2/1 is a good price, Ladbrokes have now put this market back up again, & the price is still 2/1.

Firstly Happy New Year to all and big thanks to Mere for all the spreadsheet updates ever since the start of this top man
Like another horse at Southwell, infact i have been waiting for this horse to turn up at Southwell for a long time.
BET SUGGESTION
12.15 southwell
I cant have Push Me as the fav here, regressive not run here for a long time ran twice here once ok once awful not a great trainer and probably early fav due to Adam Kirby being booked for the ride.
Royal Marskell is unexposed but ran an absolute shocker last time, sire stats not very good here can easily ignore.
Bethan is unexposed as well and has a good chance of adapting to the surface as well, however ran awfully when fav only 20 days ago and the jockey does not ride winners here as a rule.
I like PERIVALE with a saver on SHORT SHRIFT
Positives for Perivale :
Trainer does well here
Street Crys do very well here
Races up with pace usually a must here
Easiest opposition has faced
This is an awful race
Negatives :
Horse starting to look regressive/slightly iffy
SUGGEST £40 AT 9-2 vcbet (4-1 fine)
SAVER ON SHORT SHRIFT at 9-2 £10 365 (not been with Fahey long looks a stayer, unexposed sire good here)
Personally i make Perivale 5-2 in here and Short Shrift 7-2
Our saver saved us, Short Shrift got home. Perivale had every chance but quickly dropped away when he came under pressure off the last bend.

It is.
Grandad Kendall used to say "it's that fine rain that wets you through".
He never mentioned Oktas though.

I think the terrible weather might put me off -1/supremacy type bets. Got to be a leveller, guv, no matter how poor the inferior side is meant to be
Here's the scene at Luton v Barnet right now
https://vine.co/v/hVpMjI5aIdL
A day for treading very warily in the lower leagues I think
Do you like under 2.5 at Luton at odds against?
I just went to bet that, & it began at Noon!
1-0 Luton after 20 minutes.

The other value bet for me is as follows:
Hyde vs Macclesfield
Conference premier
Hyde are rock bottom of the league. They have 3 points from 24 games. They are quite simply awful. Lost their last home game 5-2 vs 16th placed wrexham. Although they hadnt been getting destroyed at home before that mainly 3-1 2-1 etc
Macclesfield sit 12th
They beat then 3rd placed grimsby 3-2 away last week. They beat hyde 3-0 at home the week before.
They also beat 8th place salisbury the game before that. They are in very good form and can score goals a plenty.
Now it would be too simple to say macclesfield win 1.55 easy money.
I like the asian handicap here.
I like macclesfield -1.0 at 1.95 just under evens.
I prefer this to macclesfield -1.5 at 2.425 as we lose if they win by 1.
Cant see anything but a macclesfield win id expect 3-1
To me this is value but happy to be convinced otherwise including whether the -1.5 is a better option.
However I propose this bet:
£21 Macclesfield -1 at 19/20 on bet365 or 28/29 on betvictpr if restricted on either.
I have been doing similar bets against Hyde most of the season. Pinnacle are 2.1 (11/10) AH-1 Macclesfield which is a big difference to high street prices.
You can also bet -0.5/-1 at 1.813 if you are a bit nittier. (In this bet half your money in on Maccs minus half a goal and the other half on Maccs minus 1 goal.)
If you don't have a Pinnacle account Neil and I would be grateful if you opened one through bettingemporium ;-)
If Fred wants the bet I am happy to put it on for Fred if you don't have an account yet.
Joe, how do i open an account through BE? Are there any sign up bonuses?

Would definitely recommend a look at Avici in the 12:32 at Hall Green (bags meeting). It's an A2 dog in an A4. Main danger is the only one outside it, which has come second in consecutive A3 races and somehow been dropped down by the course officials.
Neither particularly sharp starters but Avici won't be caught if he traps.
7/2 or above would be worth an interest bet
