Just randomly re the Gray bet we may have had a touch of fortune after the Macclesfield manager, post game admitted he told his players to play forn the draw at 1-1 so they could get some gates money from Hillsborough replay.
Didn't know you could admit to things like that, and by both managers admissions Macclesfield were well on top by the end of the game and without the instruction not to score may well have put our bet to rest with a victory.
I thought there was a statute somewhere that read every football team must attempt to win, or along those lines. Forthrightly admitting after the game you wanted the draw is pretty ballsy.

My Fiorentina bet got cancelled too. Not too bothered in all honesty.
My bet is still live, as are two other ice cream's bets that I know of.
thank you chompy
Actually meant a different ice cream. OP edited.
Oops, further edit. THREE ice creams. Which is what normally gets ordered when I'm in a rush for a ticket at Cineworld. BAN CINEWORLD ICE CREAMS!
What was the exact wording of the bet?
And did you all have the bet because of the ambiguous wording?
I'll try & look it out, Keith, but this is the bet currently in my BWin account....

the bet was too quailfy for ECL they all bet thinking that the
place team was included in this if they won the play off
but it was later revealed it was for top 2 teams only and priced as such
emails went back and forward and odds checker even put up a statement

The bet simply said qualify for the league stages of the champions league but it had a date above the prices being the date of the last day of the italian season
Maldini just looked at the prices and saw that they were 5/2 to be in the top three and 11/2 to qualify for the champions league. As they would still have to win a play-off if they were third, it wasn't an obvious palp.
The prob was that you could back the entire book for £230 and win £300, so it was def set up for 2 places only.

It made total sense for them
Can't pay next month's wages and for each FA Cup Game home or away each club gets 45% of the gate revenue after costs, same for TV money and incidentals (programmes etc)
a Draw and then a game at a big ground even at a faded giant like Wednesday is much more valuable because
a) Wed fans will turn up anyway
b) Macc have to agree ticket prices
and thus the revenue from two games even if they lose outwieghs the prize money for reaching the fourth round in one match

At the time we placed the bet, the ambigious wording had not been noticed.
Later, some clever Freddies proved that the Bet MUST be wrong, as the odds did not tally. (2xUp explained it). But we had already placed the bet before we realised this.

Sky TV bet for tonight.
Crusaders host Dungannon Swifts and are best priced 4/9 with Betvic, 1/3 elsewhere. Whilst Crusaders havent won for 4 games, further inspection of their results shows that they have played 2nd, 4th and 5th in the Irish League and drawn all of those. Crusaders, should they win, will go second, and quite frankly should have too much against a poor Swifts side at home. 4/9 looks a bit big to me.
Recommend 45 quid at 4/9.

It seemed pretty clear cut EXCEPT that the date the bet ends is stated on the betslip as the last day of the serie A season, implicitly therefore it does not include any Playoff for a 3rd placed team.
This probably gives them an out over the ambiguous wording

4/9?? Swifts have failed to lose in 13 out of 23 games, have they not?

No they are not, this was an email I received from IBAS when I made a complaint for them cancelling a few bets without informing me:
Firstly, I must advise you that the company named are not registered with this Service which determines that we would not be able to offer you adjudication in this dispute.
However, I believe that the site maybe regulated by the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority and I would suggest you contact them. Their details are Gibraltar Regulatory Authority, Gambling Division, Suite 811, Europort, Gibraltar. F: 00350 20072166; E-mail: gambling@gra.gi;
I trust the above will be of some assistance.
Regards
Danny Cracknell
Didn't take it any further after this so not sure what teeth this other lot have.

I do believe that there is a pretty good case for the thread not using BWin in the future, though
Not IBAS, bad customer service etc etc
Simply not worth the hassle is it?
