Daily Report
Loss on Month £326.74
Outstanding Bets £2847.37Free bets to use TWO William Hill by 25th Januaryhttps://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=34Another very disappointing day with a loss of £100 and one sole winner, Sire De Grugy winning in facile fashion for +£34
The litany of losers covered Horses, Rugby and Boxing. A few were unlucky, as some thread bet outcomes have been in the past fortnight
Three William Hill offer horses lost for -£75, albeit with the consolation of two free bets to panic and use at the last minute next Saturday
The Boxing bout - £20
Glasgow ran close in bad weather on a bad pitch but Toulon always had too much -£20
Leicester lost by three points to Ulster, breaking a seven year unbeaten Heineken cup home record. Frustrating one this at 5-1, at 19-19 with 20 minutes to go I thought we were on a winner, but unusually Leicester lacked that killer instinct and the Ulster scrum half Ruan Pienaar had a game to remember -£20.
So, onto longer term stuff. You may wish to get a cup of tea before this lot
We had a slight reverse in the Henieken Cup Try scorer bet as the preening peacock Chris Ashton scored two tries in Saracens 57-6 demolition of Connacht. This takes him two clear of Nalaga, who plays for Clermont today. Medard did not score for Toulouse
England are on their way to their third successive ODI defeat and Bopara got another nearly score, 21. Needs a big one in the last two games to give us a shot
In football
- The GoodArsenal's win kept them top and for our bet 8 points clear of 4th
Newcastle's win at West Ham good news for our Handicap bet
Leicester won at Leeds to go six points clear at the top of the Championship
Reading thrashed Bolton 7-1 to get into a play-off place
Barnsley won. Off for a lie down.
Doncaster and Sheff Wed failed to win so we kept in touch in the top S Yorkshire club bet
Tranmere lost and are in the bottom four
- The so soSouthampton drew. Still not going down
Liverpool drew. Still not finishing bottom half
Watford drew at Bournemouth. The whopping £300 at 2/9 bet is in serious jeopardy. Watford are 4 points off the top half and showing no consistent form
Portsmouth drew. No real signs of a climb up the table yet
Sheffield Utd Drew. They have a goalscorer at last, but its a very slow turnround
Palace won. Good news for our long shot handicap bet. Bad news if you want them to finish bottom, which I think is more realistic. Such is the bottom half of the Premeirship that any 3 of 12 teams can go, seperated by five points. Probably some value in the market here
- The disappointing
Hull lost at Norwich. Not great for the handicap, or for the top promoted team bet with Palace only two points behind hul
Cardiff lost. No surprises at the Etihad, and the handicap bet is rudderless on a choppy sea
GoalscorersNugent scored his 13th in 13 league games
Vokes scored
Even better, McCormack missed a hatful at Elland Road
Championship:
17 McCormack (Leeds)
16 Ings (Burnley)
16 Rhodes (Blackburn)
15 Nugent (Leicester)
Assombolonga scored two for Peterborough
15 Clarke (Coventry)
14 Lowe (Tranmere)
14 Wilson (Coventry)
13 Assombalonga (Peterborough)
13 Donaldson (Brentford)
In the Premier League Rodriguez scored again, probably of academic interest for our 100-1 golden boot bet
Suarez did not score and Aguero did. 22-14 Suarez now and it will be interestin to see if Aguero, in a prolific Man C side, begins to catch up now he is fit again
Ulloa did not score for Brighton
No assists for Navas despite City scoring another 4
In what is turning into a month to forget, both for short term results and setbacks in longer term positions, Sam Allardyce is still West Ham manager
