From the spurs official Twitter feed:

Good news - @sandroraniere, @YounsKabs4, @Jan_Vertonghen and @paulinhop8 all returned to action in a friendly at West Ham today. #COYS
12:45pm - 23 Jan 14

Paulinho played 60 minutes and scored in a behind closed doors friendly 3-0 win over west ham. Be nice if any of those things happened in games that counted, but there we are...

Anyway, the point is Fred's goalscoring machine (working title) is nearly back.

He was definitely getting further forward under Sherwood before the injury.

Sandro back is also important. He will allow Paulinho to get forward (not that Sherwood seems that fussed about defensive midfielders). He's seemingly fallen out with Capoue, who wants out and the agent has been making waves in the press about it. Fred needs Paulinho back and scoring though.

Having a bit of a shit day for getting on so you can have this triple star max each-way double. I really fancy both horses to challenge for the win and I really can't see either being out of the frame.

They are in the 1st two races so on your toes...

1.00 Fakenham Moss on the Mill...the race is just between 3 runners and Ballythomas which was 3rd at 50/1 last time is extremely weak on Betfair. Moss on the Mill was 4/1 for a while this morning but I made it 5/2. I think it is 1/3 to place. Would put it in at 11/4 or bigger. Favourite Canuspotit is trying the trip and ground for the 1st time so you never know.

1.20 Warwick Haatefina...this horse was robbed last time when it blundered it's chance and finished 2nd to Red Four. I hate Hawk High which looks like a tough ride and a dodgepot. I make the race a match with Mahican which was well ready for it's 1st run and may not have too much improvement.

If you miss the double take Haatefina in a single. Would happily take 9/2 and you can get 6/1.

10/3 and 6/1 with VC for those that can. 3/1 and 6/1 Corals if you can't.

Ha!

BMU refused to take my bet in any sum on the 1pm. Maybe because it was EW?

They refused the EW Double, too.

By then I was too late to get on the 1pm.

They refused to take my bet on the 1.20, so I tried Corals, who will ONLY take a Win bet, at 6/1.

The Bookies seem very jumpy today.......

It's been very difficult to get on in the shops all week and especially today.

Maybe some icing on the cakes?

Does anyone have an opinion on the Australian Open semi-final that starts tomorrow morning at 8:30 between Federer and Nadal?

I am thinking of going with Nadal to win 3-1.

Incred. Looks like Barney Curley is now training Everton, unless Martinez is wrong about his new cloob. Roberto's claim to eldership hereby rebuffed.

Who is the only player in football history to participate in six consecutive FIFA World Cup Qualifying stages?

Buffon? No, would have been Pagliuca in the nineties, or are you thinking before that?
