Thank you it started with building a case to back his national team to win the World Cup after the price drift from Falcaos injury and it ended up with trying to remember the brand name of a drug for insomnia

Everything's fine. Think we've all realised we should leave January's betting to the bookies and certain former horse trainers.

Mr Channing tipped a winner and a second yesterday.
As per usual I missed both bets. I'm now 0/16 on Neil's tips!
Sticking with Horses, Chompy got involved as well.
Adzy liked it, Tikay, not so much.
Doobs got a bet on with Dubai.com.
It's basically a coin flip who wins.
Is this Man finally going to get the nod?
And is Fred actually on him?
Elizabeth Goergl won another Super G yesterday.

She's 80/1 for the Olympic giant slalom. Tonjiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.
Norway's curling team.
You wont be able to miss them.
This guys making a new start.
Omms fancies him at 50/1, Bazza likes it a lot.
This guys also going to be making a new start.
Wales will soon be playing home games in the South of France. I wont be complaining about that.
This guy went batshit crazy yesterday.
He either butted, kicked or attacked Fonte with a sword in training as you do?
This guy has been going crazy all year.
He's had games of 54, 48, 48, 46, 37, 36, & 36 so far in 2014.
Juan Mata gives first Man Utd interview.
Quality!
This guy will be making his debut next month.
Without googling Tal or anyone else, who is he?
Later.

Great photos as per Mr R.
Don't think I commented on Chompys bet though. I was happy with the 5-1 on treve just to win the Arc, put up by someone straight after the last one.
Hope it goes in though, if only to get Chompy back on track!

Excellent Gallery Mr Rubbish, thank you.
No, Fred is NOT on Stuart Gray as far as I can recall, (not sure why) but we are all rooting for him to get the job, as plenty of the lads are on.

Ha - I got the name of the Mystery Player in the photo quiz, thanks to a kindly (but very grumpy) friend.
Excellent.
That's a quiz in itself, Tikay's grumpy friend? I can think of three straight off.
The reason I knew Tikay would get it is because the guy plays for Fulham but is on loan at Port Vale. He has just asked Fulham for permission to play on the weekend. He is the brilliantly named Mr Jack Grimmer.
Who are the people with Neil Channing in the photograph? Is one Keith the Camel?
I have a LOT of grumpy friends........
Yes, Keith the Camel is ONE of those in the photograph.
Here's the photo again.......

While I was finding the Jeff Bernard thing I found this...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/features/desert-island-discs/castaway/12d8ac19
Made me happy and sad.
Me too.
I imagine many of the Fred regulars are too young to remember, but Jeffrey's column in the Spectator was one of the weekly highlights back in the day, & was the main reason I subscribed to The Spectator. Wiki describes his column as.....
Jeffrey Bernard is perhaps best remembered for his notorious ‘Low Life’ column, recounting tales of a debauched and insalubrious life spent largely in the vicinity of the Coach and Horses pub in Soho, London.
insalubrious.
Oooh!
There was also another column by, I seem to recall, a Gent of Asian origin, well-heeled, bit of a high-roller, or socialite, always referred to his wife in very derogatory terms,
the mother of my child
sort of thing. His name began with "T" & had 9 or 10 letters, but I'm buggered if I can remember it. An incredible read, back in the day.

BOOM!
Found him.
Taki Theodoracopulos.
Knew his surname contained 15 letters.
