Our tennis bod has a bye in the 1st round and so plays tomorrow.

Also, Andrew Trimble scored a try for Ireland on Saturday and is currently 3= behind 2 people who scored 2 tries. He is now into 16-1.

I had a bye in a Table Tennis Tourney at Butlins Morecombe (?) once, I was around 16, & very excited about playing it.

The bloke organising it said "we have one player too many for Round One, who'd like a bye?"

I was in the front row, & my hand was in the air like a shot, "me Sir, please, me".

He came back quick as a flash, "well you can fuck off then, bye bye".

The other day I suggested betting Asian Handicap on Betfair rather than 1-2-X as it has a lower commission rate. It's obviously important that we all do what we can to pay less commission to Betfair and I remembered today that I'd seen a good article on the subject...

Loved the story of the guy that went on a second time with a disguise and has his prize taken away from him.

Must of been in the early days coz you were allowed to go on as many times as you wanted in later cereals.

Compo went on as well. Brings back memories of the early Coral days, when everyone stopped to watch 15 to 1.

Question on the Spanish Civil War stuffed me up, but what an experience that was. I also know someone who went on 100 per cent, which is like 15 to 1, but for chavs.

Also, to prove I have almost as much TV time as TV's Tony Kendall under my belt, I also got Phantom Flan Flung. Won't find that on Wikipedia.

My, what a memory. He'd do the Stateside Racing for ATR, come to Luton, stay all night playing DC, straight back to ATR for the morning shift, then back to Luton for the DC that evening.

The first year we went to Vegas, he got off the 'plane mid afternoon, & jumped straight in a cash game @ PH. He stayed in that until our Production Meeting @ 10.30 the next morning, attended the Meeting, then returned to the cash game until the Next Meeting, the following morning. He was in Vegas 3 days before he checked into his room.

Why is that a good price?

I'm not saying it is not, I know nothing of Tennis in Chile, or anywhere else for that matter, aside from I was lucky enough to be present when Rod Laver & Billie Jean King both won Wimbledon one year, but we really need to have some justification.
