Daily Report

Loss on Month £163.69

Outstanding Bets £3207.37

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=19

Back after a hiatus of a couple of days

The end result on the Superbowl was a loss of £10. I don't think the path of the game really suited a couple of our bets. For example who could have predicted that the line would go "Over" with Denver only scoring 8 points? Or that Denver would be so far behind before half time that they had to turn down field goal chances to go for it on 4th down?

Anyway, it could have been worse....

February has generally started poorly with a loss of over £160 already and there is not a lot due to settle in the immediate future.

So ideas and research please and we can turn things round after 5 poor weeks

I suspect there is money to be made in the F1 this season, given the dramatic rule changes.  Lots of research needed though.  For anyone not following, Red Bull are all over the place at the moment although Newey will surely sort it out.  They can't get a lap in without the car overheating.

Even when they resolve it though, they are still hundreds of kilometres behind the Mercs in testing time.  The Williams also looks rather good, and they have Massa on board this year.

We've already got on Button.

Definitely a lot of uncertainty, and no real idea how it will shake out yet

Massa? not a top notch driver these days. I would have named about 6-7 other combinations before alighting on Massa/Williams!

All about the value.  If it is one of the top 3 cars this year, 100/1 is going to look pretty good.  20/1 the top 3 too.  Lots of ifs and buts, but I think you have dismissed it too quickly.  Only betfred offering that price too.  Beats Betfair.

I'm not talking of the championship - more of a match bet proposition against the likes of Force India/Sauber or even Lotus.

My thinking is that

A) Good so far in testing
B) Massa will give them better driver feedback than they have had in ages
C) Proper racing team that should be adept at solving the new regulation puzzles.

Could do the same as Brawn on the rule changes?  Honda were big underachievers, and Button wasn't really viewed that well. It is a massive punt obv, and Massa has definitely gone downhill, but... 100/1.

I am on personally.

I did almost put the same bet up a few days ago, and thought but it's Massa too.

Actually - scratch that - bookies are already onto it I think.  Williams are rated 5th in the constructors race already!  Looks like might need another angle.

He's won 8 games in 35 since he won the League Cup

Over-achieved last year, expectations go up, Michu gets injured, team disappoints those expectations

I have seen more surprising sackings

What's Khan like as an owner at Fulham, Tighty? Is he patient enough to see the season out with the team playing this unimaginatively? Would he go in for Laudrup?

Patient at Jacksonville. Heck knows what Meulensteen is doing with the back 5, but he's going to get the rest of te season isn't he?

Laudrup won't be short of takers in Spain etc will he?

If they're bottom in a month's time?

I don't know

There has to be enormous value in the Premier League relegation market somewhere

Any 3 of 12 can go, and some are priced up to 33/1

Who were 33/1? Massive drops in price since this post, best is now Swansea at 9/1!

Did you see this Tighty?

9/1 now best

When I looked previously teams like Swansea and Hull were 33/1, before they got dragged into it

Incoming from IBAS:

"Dear Mr Kimber

I write further to receiving your completed adjudication form in the above dispute.

I can now advise you that the Ladbrokes organization has written to the Service confirming that the company will be offering you a further 9 x £25 of free bets (in addition to the one that has already been offered to you)."
