GREAT Gallery, as ususal, Mr Rubbish. Loved the one from the Old Trafford Press Box. Why on earth was the guy perusing dog images duing a CL game?!
These galleries that you & Tighty regularly upload must take a lot of time, & are much appreciated, I'm sure, by everyone.
PS - Bet you loved that tie I wore, eh? That's called

Bollocks, I forgot it was the Aintree preview tonight!
Will it be shown again on the channel tomorrow?
Me too.
Tikay if you could post and remind us on the day that would be great
. I would have liked to have watched it. Also when is the repeat please ?
Hi Lisa, Marky.
I actually typed out the Post twice, but deleted on both occasions, as I'm always conscious of that sort of stuff looking a bit spammy. I get more grief than enough already on blonde (elsewhere), simply because of who I work for, (
ABSOLUTE JOKE
!) which I find increasingly tiresome, so I'm reining it in a bit, but yes, I'll Post reminders in future.
The repeats?
Yes, there will be repeats, & I'll find out the full schedule of repeats & let you know later today.
I can tell you already that the full 2 hour segment will be repeated, starting at 11am on Thursday.
The 2 hours were broken into two distinct hours, the first hour on the Aintree Meeting generally, & various races, & the 2nd hour was pure Grand National Stuff, nothing else.
On both Friday & Saturday, the 2nd hour ONLY will be repeated, several times I imagine, & I'll find out the times this morning & let you know.
I never contributed to the discussion at all, quite rightly, we had some good talkers in the Studio. It was not so much the guys giving tips, as generally chewing the cud on the various horses, jockeys, trainers etc, with a few filmed inserts of previous races. A sort of "Aintree Chat" thing, & fwiw, I thought it was really very interesting. Lord Grumpy talked a great deal. Obviously.
SPAM ALERT - While I think of it, the format will be repeated NEXT Tuesday (8th April) with a US Masters Golf Betting Preview Show, though that will only be ONE hour, not two.

Magic, I'll watch that while I'm waiting for the racing to start on
C
4!
Dave Ord is a really funny guy, and I love listening to all the raciing stuff that they do over at Sporting Life.
They have a really good racing team there, and the Monday podcast is a great listen with Mr Ord on the 'wheels of steel' as he calls them
As for the moaners, not much you can do about idiots unfortunately...

Yes, Dave is a good guy, & I like him very much. Sporting Life.com, of course, is part of the SB&G family of companies, as is Oddschecker.

Tiger Woods, tikay?
Somebody announced on my Facebook they got a refund. Not sure who it was with, but definitely worth checking.

Daily Report
Loss on Month £25
Outstanding Bets £3840.44
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=23
A loss of £25 to start the month. have included Tiger Woods - £50 in that, pending clarification
Yesterday's winner Aaron Finch for £55, top Australian T20WC Batsman at the death, with a big innings against Bangladesh that sealed £20 at 11/4. Brad Hodge in the same market was a £5 loser.
The £25 Pakistan T20WC bet was a loser.
I explained the position as to Badree at 33-1 top bowler and 9/2 top WI bowler yesterday. Sri Lanka play the West Indies in their semi final tomorrow. We have 6/1 Sri Lanka running
Elsewhere yesterday Nemanja Vidic threw a Serbian-Mancunian cat amongst the Munich Tauben but fortunately, given many people were pressing for United to be backed at 6-1 in the afternoon was the boss was at repose, Schweinsteiger ("Pig farmer" is the translation) equalised
Last night Leicester drew 2-2 at Wigan to go 7 points clear at the top with 8 games to go. 16 points clear of third, could go up on Saturday if results break their way.
Rhodes scored twice for Blackburn. A Chompy 14-1 bet, Rhodes is now closer to McCormack and Ben Hamer saved a McCormack penalty late on at Elland Rad last night
27 McCormack
22 Rhodes
20 Ings (injured)
20 Vokes (injured)
Despite being knackered no-hopers Sheffield United got a good point at home to high fliers Brentford last night. Wins are needed of course to challenge for 6th, but now a point closer after that game in hand.
The New York Yankees began their season last night with a 6-2 loss to the Houston Astros. its one game, and a lot of daily updates to come, but as the Astros were the worst MLB team last year, an encouraging result for us

Betfair rules
Golf
15.1General
If a price for a tie is not available, dead heat rules will apply.
Tournament bets will only be settled if the minimum number of holes to provide an official result are completed. In general, this number is 36 holes for European Tour Golf and 54 holes for US Tour golf.
Where there is a presentation ceremony, markets will be settled on the official result of the relevant governing body at the time of the ceremony, regardless of any subsequent disqualification or amendment to the result.
If there is no presentation ceremony, outcomes will be determined in accordance with the official result of the relevant governing body, regardless of any subsequent disqualification or amendment to the result (except if an amendment is announced within 24 hours of the initial settlement of the relevant market in order to correct an error in reporting the result).
If a player does not start a tournament then all bets on that player will be void.

Can't work out if this is a great bet or not.
Tom Cooper top batsman @ 5/2. He's in front by 61 runs.
All the players I'd imagine would be in for between 34-38 runs(ish) on the spreads.
Some of these players will be knocked out after the semi's.
One for the maths guys.

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/t20-world-cup/twenty20-world-cup/top-batsman
Guess the reason for the price is that either Amla or Kohli will get 2 innings to shoot him down, as they meet in the semi finals. They need about 70 to overtake him. Their spread prices for each of their 2 innings would be around the late 30s given standard T20 scenarios so on that basis the guy who bats twice would be expected to overtake him? I guess Rohit Sharma is the other runner as he opens for India and is 100 back.
As you say this can be modelled if anyone has time using the batsmen spread mids for each match, and match odds in the semi finals. Will need some assumptions to be made though. Just feel like I'd rather be on Kohli than Cooper at the same price, but happy to be proved wrong.

I think a Steiger is more of an overseer than a farmer. I have heard it was the name given to the person who traditionally held the pig while it was being killed, but that could be nonsense.

google images brings up these results for "Steiger", & if these do not give you a semi at the very minimum, there's something wrong with you in the hormonal department.

I think all games count. that was my assumption on badree and other stuff in bowling markets
He is 61 ahead of Kohli and 68 ahead of Amla. Only one of these players can make the final and play two games to score 61/68 but one will play two games
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/world-t20/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?id=8083;type=tournament
beyond that we are looking at rohit sharma 84 behind
At dhaka, on spinning slow/low pitches, against (probably) the sri lankans in the final its not going to be easy to score 61 in two games
there must be a strong chance of a low scoring semi-final or final on worn tired pitches (there squares are not big, pitches re-used repeatedly)
i thought 5/2 was a good price that cooper would hold on
