I see in the 5pm kelso Harry's whim , who unseated at the last when 10 lengths clear , was matched in running at

1000 for £596. My question is , who gets to pocket that easy money. Is it lads on the track who get to see the action

"live" or is it some group of people with superfast broadband ?

Seems pretty unfair to me that you back a horse when you have no chance of winning. It cannot be right for a PLC

to let this happen despite their disclaimers.

Thoughts anyone , especially the Elders please.

Very rarely back in running even though I have SIS which is around 5 seconds quicker than channel 4. I have to remember
to turn the sound down on SIS while a channel 4 race is running because you get to hear about a faller a fence before it actually happens on the pictures and punters are not impressed , especially if it's their horse Grin

Its amazing how far head some streams are of others. TV and betfair are slower than many of the smaller outfits.

I always thought when i lived near trent bridge that it would be benificial to sit on betfair waiting for a loud cheer and the bet accordingly.

Until i tried it once and was guessing what the cheer was for and well, i backed the wrong way!

lads on track.  The reason so much has been done at 1000/1 is because there would have been people in the process on trying to back it at big odds on for decent money.  They will have put their order in at the same time as the track lads are happy to lay it at 1000/1 because its fell.  So someone who has asked for £500 at 1.04 in running who has entered the order at the same time as the guy who is at the track and happy to lay £500 at 1000/1.  The 1.04 back order will be done at 1000/1 rather than the 1.04 requested.

I totally disagree with in running hoovering of this manner as well.  'If you can't win you shouldn't be able to lose' should always stand however bf will argue that people are happy to back 1000/1 losers to untie their bf balance to reuse on the next race prior to the event being settled.  I have acted as an effective wonga lending service on bf before to people on football/nba matches which are effectively over (4-0 up 4 mins left) happy to lay someone £25 at 1000/1 for 15 mins until the market is settled.  If they have laid a team to lose £25k pre game they can know pay me £25 to 'untie' that £25k capital for 15 mins.  The return they might get in those 15 minutes (especially if they are a race by race arber) will exceed the £25 they are paying me to effectively borrow £25k at 0.1% for 15 mins.

Golf major on the final sunday are even better for this as you can lay up to 25 golfers at 1000/1 once they are in the clubhouse and beat effectively.  Therefore returning 2.5% (25x £25 = £625) on your £25k investment for tying it up for 6 hours.  Most banks don't return this in a year never mind 6 hours.  This is especially easy if tiger or the other shorties are beat early you will often see up to £1000 done at 1000/1 after they are in the club house and beat just because of the sheer number of layers pre event who have limited bankrolls and want to reuse their capital before the event is actually settled.

I understand the argument about unlocking money so in that instance both parties know what they are doing.

In the specific race today that £596 never ever had a chance to win and the principal should be , like you quoted ,

"If you can't win , you can't lose ". It's that simple.

To hide behind disclaimers is not being fair to Joe Public and the Gambling Commission should take a look at it

because they sniff around everything else in the industry.

The basic order is On course boys>Racetech feed (apparently)>SIS>>>>>>>>the poor idiots sat at home watching ATR/RUK.  Chompy is your man on this though.  Think basically you need to have a software programme too like Gruss or Betangel to take advantage especially if you are only using SIS pics.  I once went and spent a day in an exchange shop of sorts and watched a couple of guys that were making good money doing it but it wasn't for me and I get the sense that the track boys are making the money now.

Offers starting to arrive for the Masters now.

and PP are now 6 places. Boyles doing cash back if second or third (including ties) up to 100 euros.

I don't think there are any cover bets on yet for the first time winner.

Evening Mr T.

Tomorrow the ATP hits Casablanca, and it is a fairly ropey field tbh. With no Angry Scot to oppose there is no free money to be had. Those who watched Foggy put on a masterclass today will have seen that clay court skills are far different from any other tennis surface. The favourite for the tournament is Monfils who has been playing mostly indoors and hard courts this season. I suggest we oppose him by backing Delbonis, who has won a clay court tournament this season.

Suggest £10 e/w Delbonis @ 12-1 with Ladbrokes but the widely available 10-1 is OK too

I wonder if I will be in sync with the Racing Post again with my choice..

Thanks H.

I was able to get on this late last night, exactly as suggested, with Ladbrokes, @ 12/1, £10 EW.

Intertops are paying out on the Masters for 2 winners.  That is, if you pick a golfer and he finishes 2nd, they pay you out in full as a winner.  If you want to use the offer but don't have/cba to get an account, I can put on for you.
