Gave up worrying about who's name is next to a bet a long time ago.

As long as I'm on the good ones,  I don't care who gets the glory.

I did say all this the other day.

but that was before a good bet appeared on the other side.  Also people want to bet other players and it allows Tikay to decide on merit without worrying about betting too much on one event.

If you are happy the 3/1 is another good bet then go for it but stake the bet according to its relative edge we have not just to lock in on the first bet which clearly has a much bigger edge.  There is no need to worry about bets 'conflicting with each other' so to speak.

You seen the top american bet above 25/1 betfair sportsbook.  You probably don't have enough on Spieth already.

Three weeks to go until the Masters Golf at Augusta. From memory, Fred was in for chunks last year and got in a right pickle.

This year’s Masters is set to be one of the largest fields in Masters history. There are currently 94 registered players but, of course, we can put a line through many of those that are just not capable of winning this event.

There are some common thoughts about the key attributes needed to do well. Those include:-

- Big Hitter
- Comfortable with the woods and long irons off the floor
- Must be able to draw the ball hard
- Putting crucial
- High ball flight useful

By using the above criteria and looking through form I have been trying to work through crossing out as many as possible that don’t fit the profile. Not lots jumping off the page yet but one early rec:-

Gary Woodland - 100/1EW with BV. 5 places.

Having listed the criteria, Woodland doesn't exactly fit that but I do fancy him. Yes - he hits the ball very long but the make or break will be with the flat stick and his short game can get a bit ropey hence the big price. He also hits a natural fade but has been working hard on hitting the draw in the last couple of years. I am hoping the stars align for him this week at the Arnold Palmer and I expect the 100/1 for the Masters will shorten. A small tickle each way looks good.

Anyone got any ante post thoughts?

One of the BE tips too. 100/1 with Boyles and get the offer. £5 EW?

I got on this when you put it up before, nice to see it backed up by a pro betting site. Well done. Let's hope he gives a good account of himself.

he is down to 90/1 best with the sites you can back each way.  Don#t think thread can do Boyles anymore though.  Really is rubbish getting a bet on, my losing Paddy's account is now restricted to just a fiver each way on The Masters.

Fred Couples last four finishes at Augusta:-

2010 - 6th
2011 - 15th
2012 - 12th
2013 - 13th

Loves Augusta. Still hits it a long way averaging 299.4 yards this season. Won his 10th Champions Tour Classic last month and has been playing great for a long long time on that tour.

Bwhine are best priced 4/1 to finish in the top 20 at Augusta. What do we think?

Like. I'm just backing Freddy and Cabrera, same as last year.

Fred as Top Senior at 15/8 looks a solid bet to my eyes. That group looks v weak by comparison and looks at worst a flip between him and MAJimenez

Any option to lay it off after he's leading the first round?

The practice round was rained off early today and there is plenty of rain still to come later so could impact 2morrow too. It might impact on the maiden winner bet a little as there is a good set of debutants this year and they are probably the ones at a disadvantage from missing practice rounds. I'm sure most will have played a few rounds here in the build up but prob not the tournament week set up.

Edit, one post after the bet was placed, it's all in the timing.

While Doobs and Adz are around will we be having a little dabble on Speith top American?

http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/the-masters/top-american

Bf sports book seem quite generous, beats bf and get 1/4 1/2/3/4

Looks a minor rick to me, definitely they should be punished even if we are overloaded on Speith.  They owe me loads from their tolerance of colluders and multi accounters over the years anyway.

Tighty can we get on this? £10ew unless Doobs thinks otherwise.

A section of the home fans singing to Tim Sherwood, "Can we sack you every week?"

A rare smile.

Saw that market earlier, looks a cracking bet considering Marks stats that he put up.

don't have access to tikay's bwin account for the 4/1

best i can get on an unrestricted account is 3/1

90/1 with £3.65 first round leader. Assume he wants better weather?

Given he is around 33/1 to top 5 (3%) and 10/1 (9%) to top 10 4/1 (20%) top 20 looks very fair.  He has to be way more like to finish in the 11-20 slot than the 1-10 finishing spots.  Like the 4/1 a lot.
