Any goals yet in the premier league?
Yes. None were penalties.

For those that missed McKenzie 1-3 you can get 17/1 with PP
Great bet. Dawson blasted Conquest out of the ring in like 1 min flat. pp restricted me rather heavily so have played the individual rounds as well at comparable prices. I like Ovil anyway but this genuinely feels like a much shorter shot.
BV have gone 80/1 Ovill round 1. Bonkers!!

Think I need to lower my sights in these big races and adopt the tried and trusted method of several darts not just the one!

If that race hasn't left too much of a mark then Green Flag looks a good bet back down in distance. Looked all over the winner and then just didn't stay.

Not likely a bet that can win, but a place is possible. Not going to waste time with a write-up ... this recommend is all about value:
http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/vuelta-a-pais-vasco/winner
Recommend Simon Spilak @ 150/1 (ButterMeUp) £2.50 e/w 1-2-3
Small stakes please. I make it any one of eight riders to finish in third behind Contador and Valverde. Just reckon the price here is way OOL, so I have to bite.
Just a reminder that today sees the final stage of the Vuelta a Pais Vasco. I don't think that Fred got on this recommend, but I'm sure a few others did. With only a hilly time-trial left to decide the general classification, our man Spilak is unlikely to finish on the podium. Although a decent TT rider, he is currently in 14th place, 58sec behind Contador (1st) and 46sec behind Valverde (2nd). Privately, I was hoping that he would be inside 20sec on the final day, as both Contador and Valverde are decent against the clock. More importantly though, Spilak is 17sec in arrears of Michal Kwiatkowski, who has the ability not only to win the stage, but to win the whole damn thing on top of it. We've been slightly unlucky, as Spilak has had a beautiful race, but has been unable to distance himself from the field ... not for lack of trying. I expect him to do well today, but top 5 is the best that can be expected of him.
If Fred never got on, it was an error, as we love your stuff, so keep posting please.
He's unlikely to podiate? Well just hold on. I've honed my bokking skills to new heights of excellence, so I could do the old anti-reverse bok.
Spilak cannot possibly podiate. Abso no chance.
Your anti-bok almost worked, teeks. This is how it ended up:
General classification 12/4-2014 17:12
1. Alberto Contador 21.09.11
2. Michal Kwiatkowski +0.49
3. Jean-Christophe Peraud +1.04
4. Simon Spilak +1.07
5. Alejandro Valverde
6. Tejay van Garderen +1.56
So ... Spilak 4sec off outright 3rd after a great time-trial. Definitely not a 150/1 shot then ... but he might as well have been 1000/1. Sigh.

With some players out and after a midweek away game Real Madrid could be vunerable tonight. Granted they are at home to lowly Almeria but there's a stand out price on them.
Ronaldo is injured and his natural replacement Jese is also out. Isco who is more of a number 10 is expected to fill in on the left. Additionally right back Daniel Carvajal and Xavi Alonso are suspended.
Betfair Sportsbook are laying 40-1 on Almeria to be leading at half time when the next best price is 25-1.

Anyone know anything about the amateur rider onboard Andrew Baldings horse in the opener at Wolves this evening?
I like the horse, I like the trainer, I like the price. I like that this is a stable that often utilises jockeys well and that decent young jockeys come through it often enough. I like the draw as well. Its a pure punt but I think the 9/1 available with Fred's fav Victor would be worth a small investment say £10 e/w.
Any thoughts?
