Mirror has reported it and all the other newspapers have picked it up. THere's a mole at United been leaking team news all season to the Mirror, including yesterday about Ferdinand not even being in the squad (which was true).

Apparently there's been a meeting and he's told his contract will be terminated.

I wonder if its Ferdinand leaking all this stuff (although there's no shortage of unhappy players!

I can't understand it. Nothing has changed in the last month. They have been way short of the top three all season and need to strengthen across the pitch. Getting a new bloke in to build a team means a long term commitment and I can't fathom the sacking now.

Maybe van Gaal or Allegri are alluring to the Glazers?

don't think it makes too much sense to sack Moyes. It's not like the team is good enough anyway so you might as well let Moyes build a team rather than get (presumably) someone new and relatively untested (in Prem terms) in.

Is Jose really a 40/1 shot to get the gig?  There can be very few managers who are actually proper runners for this job and Jose must be one of them.
