Solid innings by Hobson, destroyed Istead's bowling analysis.

Good advice there from an acknowledged expert on taking it easy.

Still, let's try and get a return. Have £200 on Surly Sam Baldock @ 1.5 on the machine.

Don't forget to take down any that's unmatched next Saturday morning.

Either Agard or Callum Wilson would need a hat-trick to join him, and four to go past. Pretty unlikely in both cases.

To too one on Baldock is buying money tbh. Given the choice I'd rather switch the position and try for £500 @ 1/2, but we'd be a million to get it matched, and a consolation prize will do.

Baldy has offered 10/1 about Vincent Tan's first European 2yo (bought this week) winning on debut. Jeremy Gask wouldn't be known for 2yos, but then he's never had many that cost £190k from the breeze-ups. Be every chance he flies low with this one first time up and he could go off very short if he starts off in an egg and spoon race at somewhere like Bath. Recommend £30 @ 10/1.

Ryan Moore has nicked a lead over Richard Hughes while he's been injured and it's 23-2 at the moment. They're now evens each of two, Hughes having been threes on pre-season. I still can't see past Hughes here. How much we want to put on?

Treve runs in France this afternoon, at 2.40, and will be around threes on. I think we also have to back her @ 2/1 for the Prix Vermeillie. Her programme is pretty much set in stone and the French trainers always like the summer-off route with their Arc horses. Ganay-Royal Ascot-Vermeille-Arc still looks far and away the most likely plan. We're almost getting 2/1 about her turning up for the Vermeille, which is wrong. Recommend £50 @ 2/1 with Racebetttts.
