Great gallery as usual :-)

Quiz question for this morning: yesterday Dover Athletic did something no other team has ever done before. What was it?

I'm pretty sure it's not beating Ebbsfleet away, is it?

Close enough milli - first time in Conference South the 5th placed team has gone up. And we only scraped into 5th on goal difference with a penalty 5 minutes from the end of the last game of the season!

That's what I meant. Hard to keep up with all those Conference leagues. Smiley

Bet Each and Every Day has a "highest scoring team today in the premiership" market. Lots of mid table rubbish games today. We know man city will be kept tight by wham but will likely score a couple, which will be enough to win the league. Liverpool will likely beat the Novacastrian Foldmerchants. They're both an uninspiring 11/4 to find the onion bag most frequently this afternoon.

Two I'd like opinions on.

Sunderland are riding the crest of a wave. Gus Poyet did his Errol Brown impression midweek, declaring his belief in miracles. They play Swansea, who are known for stinginess at the back, which is partly why Sunderland are a whopping 25/1 to be top netters. A party atmosphere at the Stadium of Light, possibly reminiscent of a Billy Graham event. Three might be enough today, in a situation where not losing is more important for most of the teams in contention for spots (title, Europa, 5th, relegation)

The other one is spurs at 11/1. This is widely expected to be Tim Sherwood's final gilet-swaddled, tell-it-like-it-almost-is game in charge of the greatest show on Thursday night turf. Not a stranger to open play, he faces an Aston villa team with about as bad a record in this fixture as you could imagine. They're safe, have no strikers and are about as confident as someone flipping a coin against Dubai. Sherwood will be going all out and will want to make a keen point to the top brass, whether or not he decides to go back to the Academy. He won't want to win 1-0 today. Adebayor will be playing deep midfield again (think Dwight Yorke in his Sunderland days) but everyone else will be bombing forward and forgetting who plays where. It shouldn't matter, because villa will probably score and surprise themselves, despite conceding at least two. Blinkers off, I think this is a cracking bet.

I would recommend £25 on Spurs at 11/1 and a fiver saver on Sunderland. Both with Ray Winstone.

Thoughts?

Seems there's a good chance Luke Shaw will be on the plane ahead of Ashley Cole.

7/4 has vanished but still 13/10 in a couple of spots.

^ bet not based on this article btw, that isn't the Glitterati way

Was thinking Newcastle today.  Liverpool might be deflated, Newcastle want to finish on a high, and are away from the boo boys.  Booooooo.  Cockneys out.

Don't think there is much heart for backing Newcastle/opposing Liverpool at the minute.  At least this way we get to do both in only the one bet.
