lol.

I am not sugarcoating anything, it was unfortunate not to get second

however we don't want second & it was never going to win the race anyway

It lost a bit of momentum, could easily have been 2nd if it didn't happen.  Of course we want 2nd if we don't get 1st.

Yeah I know we want second - however these bets aren't put up to get second if you get my drift.

Not really a personal pick to be fair, just looked a good bet with the offer.

Shame really.

Only darts tonight for me is £30 recommended at Boyles (thread can't get on) on draw 4/1 in Ando v Barney game.  The games aren't the most competitive tonight barring that game plus it's the final night before the playoffs next week so motivations for certain players might not be the same as normal.

Any love for betting against MVG? Already has his place secured, wright needs at least a draw, MVG will most likely be hammered as he doesn't need a result?  haven't looked at odds as in on my phone

Dont think MVG will want to lose/drop points to Peter Wright even if is a lock, expect him to play pretty well tonight. Ando/Barney draw is the only thing I like tonight too, think chisnall 5/2 is ok too

David Ferrer has just beaten Gulbis in straight sets to set up a 1/4 final with the winner of the Djokovic / Kohlschreiber match, which is about to start. We should root for Kohlschreiber, and he is not an 8-1 shot that the bookies make him as there are doubts about Djokovic's fitness.

Random quiz-question/ name-drop for rugby afficcionados:

I played(crap) golf today with a big Scottish pal of mine who was a grand slam winner in 1992. He is a practising dentist in the Nottingham area and a very decent(single figure hcp.) golfer, top bloke too.

Answers on a postcard..

1990 not 1992. Will guess Chris gray. All the backs are still in Scotland, most still in rugby. As are the back row, that leaves the tight 5. Sole and burnell no. So Chris gray

Too good your tightness, Chris Gray it is, but I'm sure that when I asked him if he had won a GS he said 1992, although it is not impossible that I misheard.
