Find this cricket stuff fascinating

http://www.espncricinfo.com/county-cricket-2011/engine/match/492346.html

Is one of the games in question, some of the more regularly named suspects appeared to have interesting games

More background on that here

there's a betfair thread from the day itself that is fun to read. people trading the game, and on sussex at prices above what they think are "true" with sussex's numbers 4,7,9 farting around at less than a run a ball in a chase

there's a surrey v sussex game at whitgift in 2011 that i was at where sussex chase 200 on a tiny ground, on sky, and nash comes in at 6 and is seen mouthing to vincent (something like 6 of 11 balls) "wtf are you doing?"

Yep the number 4 that evening has an amazing record of being run out or scoring very slowly in televised county games as well.....

Looks like it is all likely to come out soonish anyway

the said thread on the day

Must have been quite obvious as unusually nearly everyone agreed during the game

Could i ask for views on Aston Villa please?

Lerner is selling

Until he sells, the club is in the market for frees and loans only (Lescott +1 is the chatter). no more investment

We don't know when he sells

Lambert stays on as an inter-regnum, bit of a lame duck as who knows what a new owner will do. probably a new manager

If, big if, the sale does not conclude by end August then its the current squad til January, minus Benteke and presumably with other teams strengthening around them

i spotted these yesterday and kept them for your perusal, from the veteran BBC West Midlands football man. ear to the ground

 Pat Murphy @patmurphybbc  ·  15h

Not sure what's all the rush about selling Villa as soon as y'day.Little transfer business done in May,clubs don't like paying wages 2 early

Pat Murphy @patmurphybbc  ·  15h

Randy Lerner & Villa sale: forget any lofty idealism from him about preferring a 'custodian' in his perceived image. He now just wants a sale

Pat Murphy @patmurphybbc  ·  15h

Struggling 2 think of a similar situation 2 Villa at moment, where top flight club limps along in summer - manager wounded, owner wanting out

As a punt on there not being a sale before the end August, isnt the 7/2 on relegation quite attractive?

even if Lerner sells pdq, you are still a runnner on a bad managerial appointment etc.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegation

If the sale drags are the chances of staying up not going to increase? - I supect come January, Randy will be far more likely to dip his hand to ensure the club stay up as whatever he spends is likely to be far less then he would lose in the sale price if the club were relegated?

I would be more inclined to back relegation if the new owner is not a legacy buyer as Pat Murphy suggests, it could just be another Fulham waiting to happen.

How do you view the market? - Burnley nailed on and the other 2 up for grabs, with Leicester and potentially QPR likely to invest, Villa are in the mix with current squad standing on, potenially little investment, 7/2 has to be value with a potential re-investment if they sell and the price bumps up as a result.

How much exactly do Bury have?

Have heard a figure of what they are paying Ryan lowe over the next two seasons (35 remember) and i am staggered, on the bbc website he states he had offers from championship clubs!

"I was quite happy playing in that league. I felt comfortable, but the minute I had a chat with everyone at Bury, there was only one place I was going to go.
"They've paid some good money for me and they've got me there on a decent contract. I need to pay them back now."

Sorry Lisa whats PP Messenger?

Looks some decent betting opportunities there with some favs

It's Paddy Power messenger. It's an app. I think Tikay managed to download it so it can't be that difficult. They send lots of boosts and offers once you install it.

http://www.oddschecker.com/greyhounds/ante-post/greyhound-derby/winning-nationality

Should imagine this 5/6 with paddy a British winner is liability driven as they are bound to be 'full' of the irish winner outcome.  Again it's a 1% arb with hills but i would be inclined to think the value is with the paddy price for those that can get on.  Several decent judges on RPGTV had said that the irish winner price seems too short.

what is your view on miami heat tonight?

they looked complacent in the first match, and surely won't be tonight

they are or should be on all we know the better team

they should pull out all the stops tonight

http://www.oddschecker.com/basketball/nba/miami-heat-at-indiana-pacers/point-spread

plenty of better than evens about miami -3 -4 -5 around
