Henry Winter ‏@henrywinter

Lallana/Barkley good but expecting #eng v Italy: Hart; Johnson, Cahill, Jags, Baines; Gerrard, Henderson; Sterling Rooney Welbeck; Sturridge

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/england/to-start-opening-world-cup-match

isn't welbeck Evens just far too big a price? unpopular with fans but not with Roy, but he's started v Peru and Honduras in what have resembled first choice sides, and scored 4 goals in qualifying.

do you agree with sterling, over lallana? if you do he is available at evens too. that's obviously a much tighter call to make

Remember Sterling would have started against Honduras if he wasn't suspended, so I think Welbeck was "2nd choice" against Honduras; which if you take the line-up pretty much as it will be against Italy, Sterling a good bet to start?

A speculative one, but Brendan Dolan is currently playing very well in the current World Cup of Darts and has been instrumental in their run to the semis.

He is also 2nd in the current Pro Tour Rankings (floor tournaments) only to Michael van Gerwen and the Gibraltar Open (starts 27th June) is, although in front of a crowd, is played over the Pro Tour format of best of 11 and Dolan has won two tournaments this year.

Only Victor have priced it up, but 50/1 seems on the fat side for a guy playing at his current level. I certainly wouldn't be scared of anyone he drew in any round.

Could possibly want to wait for other firms to price up, but I'm already on and if a higher price becomes available, I reckon I'll top up anyway.

Telling that Victor have shortened him to 66/1 for the Matchplay as well, I reckon.

A possible small each way consideration.

It's not entirely clear what you you are getting at here.

Henry Winter's formation has Rooney behind Sturridge, Welbeck on the left and Sterling on the right. The main discrepancy between that formation and the bookies odds is the absence of Lallana with Sterling taking his place on the right.

Sorry, I was meaning Sterling for Welbeck with Lallana being given to start;

Gerrard, Hendo,
Rooney,  Lallana, Sterling/Welbeck
Sturridge

Both Sterling and Welbeck are evens/odds against so we could back them both.

What's the chances of neither of them starting?

A profit of £52 on the Canadian GP with Hulkenberg 5th and the accident at the end sneaking the second Mclaren into the points, might have crept in anyway

Well done.

Big Sam has come from 2 nil down to be 2-2 v Mourinho

Edgar Davids looks more and more likely to break Redknapps or Jonathon Wilkes leg
