Eamonn Dolan now odds on for next Leeds manager http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eamonn_Dolan local reporter Phil Hay saying strong favorite, might be announced tomorrow.

wow seems a strange one for a team as big as leeds taking on someone without much experience on his own at that level

good luck to him with his odds now at 1.1 looks a cert

Hi all.

Just noticed the Sherwood is odds on for WBA as well.

Am hoping to get some news about this in the morning. It's been a pretty sick couple of weeks!

Ok. Have received news earlier than expected. I understand he's on a shortlist now but he's one of three to have had an interview. His is the only name to have been leaked and I suspect that's why the market move. I wouldn't encourage people to empty the clip just based on the market.

Who was the Dulwich Hamlet correspondent?

Lord Ant of Crystal Palace?

Whoever it was, thoughts on Erhun Oztumer please?

I saw him play twice this year. Undoubtedly good on the ball and adept at finding space (at non-league level at least) but he is tiny. 5'2 is generous to him. Not sure he'll cut it in a league with bigger, quicker players but not a bad punt at a cheap price.

I have just realised Aston Villa have signed Senderos and Joe Cole.

These do not seem like Paul Lambert types at all, infact they look pretty awful signings for whoever has made them.

Anyone else think Sterling is still a fair price to start the first game?

Hodgson keeps talking him up which is very unlike him....

Ladbrokes have a match bets market pitching different attackers against each other for total goals scored in the WC. Two bets in particular caught my eye:

Luis Suarez (7/5)          Draw (16/5)          Sergio Aguero (11/10)

With Suarez missing Uruguay's first 1-3 matches, and Argentina with an easy group plus likely to go much further in the competition, I think a bet for Aguero would be profitable.

Lionel Messi (2/5)         Draw (9/2)            Sergio Aguero (10/3)

I think these prices exemplify how overrated Messi's goalscoring abilities are in this competition. He may play out wide, but what is a fact is his lack of scoring in previous WCs. He will probably have both Higuain and Aguero in front of him which he is likely to be feeding assists for, rather than scoring himself.

Need assistance on these please, assuming they are recommendations

particularly aguero v messi at the prices

Aguero scores 0.41 per match.  Messi 0.44 per match.  Price on Aguero seems decent, but is Aguero guaranteed to start every game?  Nonetheless I wouldn't want to be on Messi at 2/5.

Feb 13th 2013 on a blog of mine after watching a Hamlet game:

Duliwch have a midfield maestro that should definitely not be in the Ryman league and nearly certainly will be playing league football shortly. He was incredible.

He reminded me of Johnny Williams for Palace, only 5'2, but had the best touch I have seen, his passing was very good, and he did a Zidane turn on one guy that I nearly fell off my seat when I saw. Was incredible.

-----

The best touch I have seen may be pushing it but it was definitely up there with the best players I have seen. Really silky player and for his size he puts himself about and is aggressive. Would be interesting to see if he can keep up with a faster game but i think he will thrive, like I predicted, at this level. He is just too good technically.

Perhaps am stupid, but i discovered you could part-use a free bet at Betfred

free bet

Market   Selection   Price   Hcp
Aegon Championship
Tournament Outright
   Hewitt, Lleyton    40/1
Total stake   £ 10.00
Estimated return   £ 400.00
Full stake   £ 10.00
Full estimated return   £ 400.00

£15 free bet balance remaining. Must be something long and lairy for the World cup someone wants a free stab at?

Not exactly original but Imobile knocked in a hat trick for Italy last night, and is still 100-1 for top boot in a few spots. He's all the rage with the italian press and there is a strong campaign to get him starting up front.  100-1 seems a decent punt for small change?
