Tighty, England get to 350 stick Sri Lanka in, all of day 5 to bowl the sri lankans out. Maybe put them in with half an hour to go today.

9/4 too big?

i would want more

a) the pitch is too slow
b) Cook likely to be too cautious on declaration
c) we don't have a spinner for the 4th innings

4 an over in this afternoon's session takes the lead to 270 on, an hour after tea at 4+ an over is 330-350 then declare, is what they should do...get a new ball tonight and a second new ball late tomorrow.

Yes, sorry didn't explain properly.

Put them in with half hour to go and get 2 new balls.

I thought the new regime had a bit more attacking intent in first innings.
They go 4 an over and stick them in.

I've not watched much of the match, but the price and current state of play I thought 9/4 was a tad too big.

I will bow to your better knowledge :-)

lol, all opinions valid of course.

think the pitch will win. that and the absence of a match winning 4th innings bowler

Switzerland vs Ecuador

Draw 9/4 with BV

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/switzerland-v-ecuador/winner

Switzerland very tight at the back, neither team have a decent attacking options.  and to boot, Not one draw in the World Cup so far - has to go at some point!?

0-0 6/1 and 1-1 8/1  both with BV

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/switzerland-v-ecuador/correct-score

Thoughts?

Afternoon all

Suggest £10 to around £20 Fabian Schar to score anytime for Switzerland at 10-1 this afternoon

with sportsbook (similar on exchange prob less after comm)

1 in 5 at club level, 3 in 6 for switzerland so far made him top scorer in qualifying. 10's is fair what swings it as a small bet for me is Ecuador are not great defending high balls/set pieces

i think you are being too bearish on both going forward. ecuador are an open team as we saw last week in Miami, switzerland probably under-rated, have the tag as being lucky ot be seeds but are a young emerging team. could push france for the group and will be going to win this

not sure where you get "neither team have decent attacking options" from? Drmic? Valencia? Montero on the flanks?

obviously swtizerland are renowned for a tight defence

welcome other opinions, obiously but i didn't have this down as a bore-draw...

Tonji,

Well done on the Le Mans bet. We never cashed, but a 23 hour sweat is cracking value.

And the Hannon winners bet i keep forgetting to update

From some very rough calculations i have done we are slightly ahead of the curve on the bet compared to last year.

Goes without saying the next month is key but the theory of Hannon Junior having more runners has been proved correct.

John,

Am going to bump a post by Chompy if I can find it. You may be able to assist.

Can someone else have a look through the Ascot rides next week and explain why it's 7/4 Ryan, 7/2 Hughes please?

BUMPED for horsey, don't think anyone replied to this, except me.

The market is here.....

http://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing-betting/racing-specials/long-term/royal-ascot/top-jockey

Note that Tighty appears to have taken leave of his senses, & plonked £200 on for Fred on "Look, Listen" because Fen Man suggested it.

I'd never have gone above a fiver.
