Top jockey markets are time consuming and a pain in the arse tbh.

Chances are one of the big three will scoop but Ascot winners are hard to come by and some random could still pop up if we get weird results for the last two days.

We got on the right jockeys at the right time on here and it could still go tits up.

I'm in ok shape unless one of the big three doesn't bink. Hughes or Listen would be best, same as for the thread.

sure but there is big margin and low volume in these markets.  Hence why i have spent a lot of time on it this week.  Been truely amazed at some of the stuff i have laid on bf this week on this market for big 2 figures and/or 3 figure bets.

At the moment we have...

£200 on Hughes at 7-2

And we've laid £52 @ 2.76, plus £80 @ 3.

Allowing for 5% comm, we effectively have £75 on Hughes to win £450. So at the moment we effectively have £75 @ 6-1.

Ideally we'd lay back another £50 @ 5, but some joker keeps usurping us! Smiley

The other bet is £25 on Listen Jnr @ 10-1. This is a cracker.

So, all told, we're in for £100. If we can't lay back any more Hughes, we could always just stick £80 on Ryan to cover the outlay.

Actually, let's do that. Take down the £50 @ 5 and stick £80 on Ry-Ry at 11-8 with Mountains.

Even better, put the cover bet (£80 @ 11-8) on Ryan and put the £50 lay of Hughes back up at 5.2.

And hope that we don't get usurped this time! Be good to get that matched to level things out a bit.

i really dont like the italy uruguay draw bet its not as if the draw GTDs uruguay qualification as costa rica will just need to match uruguays result in the final games to get through
as it goes to head to head to decide postion in group so its not like thee germany austria game when they both knew a draw would see them through

The reason it's such a good bet is that there's the potential for the draw to start quite a bit shorter than 12-5, and practically no chance of it going off bigger. Therefore, it's a perfect trading spot if you can get enough on. Whether you like/fancy it is not really relevant in this spot ironside.

ah ok but doesnt that require a huge roll on betfair that fred doesnt have?

The suggestions put up are not aimed ONLY at Fred, they are for everyone. Just because Fred cannot, on occasion, bet them, does not mean peope should not suggest them for everyone else.

This seems to be the biggest misunderstanding on this thread - suggestions & recommendations are for everyone.

This is def true.  I provide most of my info mainly for two reasons.  1) i can't get on the bet at all becuase of account restrictions and happy for other fred users to do so or 2) i have got what i want on and others can benefit.  Either way i don't get any additional benefit on these individual bets however the fred operates because numerous sharp punters i assume do the same and i then get my reward from posting my info 'for free' by being able to exploit other shrewdies info who, i assume, are posting for similar reasons.  This fred only works because of this.  Numerous firms/individuals freeroll us all for sure and give nothing back at all but until it goes as a private members thread (tikays decision) that's always going to be a price we all have to pay even though we are all better off mutually as a result even though numerous firms 'freeroll' our collective info for nothing.

World Cup Group C.

BMU go 6-1 about Greece qualifying. In order to do so they'd need to beat Ivory Coast and effectively need Japan not to beat Colombia.

Is that right? If so 6-1 seems big? Greece are around 11-4 to beat Ivory Coast.

Billyhill are 11/8 Ryan and listen 5/2 in top jockey market. Both bigger than betfair. If you had no previous bets, I presume a bet on either would be wise given Chompy's assessment?

I am seeding this market so it's my cash you are talking about and it's not a tight market at all but it's amazing what you can get matched.  I have laid a monkey on Ryan at 4/5 tonight on bf.  You never know if it's sharp or mug cash but u have to assume its sharp even though every firm in the world are odds against.  It's tough to know as surely you could walk into any shop tomorrow and get a monkey on Ryan at 5/4 or 11/8 in any of those firms.

I have also got £50 at 10/1 Obrien to back matched so you have to wonder sometimes who is matching your bets in these markets!

is the £555 hughes at 5.1 you?

riding roughshod all over our market!
Yes that £555 is mine feel free to back it.  It is value i am giving it away!  Top price in the village is 3/1.  I am happy to accommodate!

no we need to lay back the rest of ours

got a world cup draw to lay back.....

I have got to go to a hills shop tomorrow in south london (spending the week with my bird) that i have never been to in my life and try to get a grand on ryan in cash at 11/8 if i can't get this £555 laid.  Wish me luck!  Given mrs bandit said you could walk into any coral shop and get a grand on england today at 5/4 no problem i tried 5 shops in south london and got the grand sum of £50 between the 5 shops at 5/4.  All 5 shops i had never been in before in my life and i went in dressed in england shirt and semi pissed up!!  Mrs Bandit really does own the ability to get on in shops.  Those cakes must be good!

Really. £1000 a shop between 1pm and 5pm started getting reduced to £400 per shop at about 5pm with the rest offered at 11/10.  Cut to evens about 6.30pm.
The lay went to 2.02 about 5pm.

It all got a bit emotional during the Ivory Coast v Columbia match.

Turns out Serey Die's Father died two hours before Kick Off. Brave Guy.

Columbia won 2-1, enough to progress to the next round.

The Girls were happy.

Not so sure about this Guy?

Rooney scored.

So did Suarez.

Twice.

Which was great news if you backed him FGS with Betfred.

Another sending off as Japan and Greece draw 0-0.

I wonder what Rooney does think about these adverts?

Belgium fans are feeling confident.

Didn't take long.

Austrian GP: Pre-Practice Tips

Bet365
Number Of Finishers: Over 18 @ 2/1 => Easy track, not expecting any driver errors. Not too tough on the cars either. While this outcome may only be a possibility rather than a probability, a price of 2/1 is decent value!

Bet Victor
Group C (MAL/SUT/GUT/BIA): Pastor Maldonado @ 23/20 => Can't really understand a price higher than evens, as the Lotus should quite easily be the quicker car. Maybe they are taking into consideration Pastor's erratic driving style, but it's not a challenging circuit - he should reach the end of the race.

William Hill
Group 4 (VER/KVY/GRO/MAL): Daniil Kvyat @ 13/8 => Toro Rosso should be quicker than Lotus around Austria. This bet is 13/8 on Kvyat beating Vergne really.

Would also suggest a small bet on either Red Bull driver to top the first practice session. Mercedes (and Ferrari) will be testing a new titanium skid block in order to enhance the spectacle and create sparks on Friday. Could well slow them down and Red Bull could top the timesheets as a result. Unlikely but Vettel & Ricciardo are both 16/1 with Sky Bet - worth a small bet at that price in my opinion. I put 25p on each out of my £10 allowance.

Austrian Grand Prix Over 18 (Number of Classified Drivers - Race) Odds: 9/4 Stake: 15.00 Possible Return:  48.75  victor

Austrian Grand Prix Pastor Maldonado (Group C - Race) Odds: 23/20 Stake: 15.00 Possible Return:  32.25 victor

20 Jun 2014 - Austrian F1 Grand Prix - Group Betting - Race - Group 4

Daniil Kvyat @ 13/8

Stake : £15.00
Estimated Returns : £
39.30

hills

i can't use skybet for bets. best i can get is 8-10/1 on an individual driver, or 8/1 redbull so leaving that

offset by £194 of ascot losers including the great war, vazira amongst others, and...

-£60 forest gavin at hove beating 0.75l into 2nd

-£25 on the England match, with the compensation of a free bet to use by Sunday lunchtime. Thought this was the best picture of the night. Poignant

long term

- in the "what on earth were they thinking of?" category there is £50 on england to win the world cup and £30 england to go out on penalties on the book, which will likely be losers next week, as are various group D bets with italy to finish bottom etc

- Richard Hughes leads ascot top jockey with 2 days to go. Chompy running me ragged with the trading strategies! i think listen is the best result now, then hughes, and we might get on ryan

- Querrey into the semi's at eastbourne, hector's pre-tournament 16-1 tip

- Suarez two goals closes up the golden boot in the world cup further, bony did not score for the ivory coast and did not look like doing so, jagielka did not score for england.

- Cuadrado another good performance for colombia yesterday, in the whoscored.com ratings running

- the royals 10 game winning streak was stopped yesterday, the tigers beat them and are now half a game behind in the AL Central

- in the east the Yankees are getting hot, sweeping the first place blue jays in the latest series, and baltimore now only 2.5 games off the division lead
