We're not even an hour into Day 1C, but we can already tell you this year's #MainEvent field will be bigger than last year's group of 6,352!

Relieved we don't have to sweat it down to the wire.

Should be a big number given there are still 5+ hours of late reg.

Wonderful news!

I've absolutely loved this bet.

6 week sweat, it's been like extended foreplay.

Well done all.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £15.36

Outstanding Bets £2259.20

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=27

A profit of £167 yesterday

We had £200 at 5/6 on WSOP main event runners being over 6300/50 and in what ended up the 5th-largest WSOP main Event in history 6,683 entered this year’s field.

the recent history of entrants was produced last year prior to ryan reiss winning

for ongoing positions

Kittel won his second stage of this year's TdeF,

marked by yet more enormous UK crowds.

All eyes on tomorrow's cobbles during stage 5 to see if that shakes up the order

In county cricket at last some signs of form from our players, our one of them, with Wayne Madsen scoring 90 for Derbyshire versus Essex. It remains highly unlikely that any of Evans (out of form and dropped, not helped by the emergence of Sam Hain), Madsen, Linley (has been injured), Eckersley (out for 5 yesterday) and Derbyshire will be winning bets

In the MLB last night Baltimore, the Royals and the Yankees all won, whilst the main rivals for the AL East the Blue Jays lost. The Orioles are now three games clear at the top of the AL East

Next week is the All Star break so  get a rest from reporting baseball daily to an audience with no interest in baseball!

Tonight, Luiz captain's Brazil in the first world cup semi final against Germany. Tough game to call, 15/8 each of two because of the absence of Silva and Neymar which implies Germany are the better team (as an evenly priced away team). We'll see. I suspect prices have swung too far.

Great news, that.

Incidentally, your audience DOES have an interest in Baseball.

I went 5,000 miles to watch a Baseball Game last month, & ended up sat next to.....Longy.

This is sticky ground after what happened last year, but can't help noticing that Watford keeping making signings and the odds don't change much.

A watford summer wishlist would have been:

1) Keep Deeney
2) Get Vydra
3) Sign Toszer
4) Buy some centre backs who actually have championship experience
5) Inject a bit of extra pace
6) Replace the error prone Almunia

With regard to these

1) £6 million offers turned down for Deeney and McCormack moves for £11 million so that sets the benchmark.
2) Done
3) Done
4) Done - bought Tamas and Cathcart
5) Done - bought Dyer and soon to add Parades (Ecuador) I gather
6) Done - Gomes from Tottenham

These all add to the solid players from last year - Angella, Anya, Ekstrand, Forestieri, Pudil, Murray, Ranegie, Doyley and Battochio.

The unknowns are Belkalem (good world cup with Algeria) and Fabrinni (poor 1st season but bags of talent and now used to the league).

Two huge bonuses returning from season long injuries - Hoban and especially Almen Abdi who was the key player along with Vydra in the playoff final season.

The final piece of the jigsaw (apart from Paredes) is another holding midfielder rumoured to be one of Meija (Colombia), Ambrosini (former Milan/Fiorentina) or Diaz (Chile).

All in all, they seem significantly overpriced in the market.  There seems no logic for them being behind Forest, Blackburn, Wolves, Reading, Brighton in the betting.

Gulp - suggest we have a small each way interest at 20-1, and a larger one at 7-1 for promotion.
