Find a team to have a double with at a decent price back and lay it then u can effectively have £400 on stoke at 2/1.

cheers arboy, any recommendations? was gonna do Carlisle utd top 7 or top half but theres no market in league 2

We were looking to take on Donny this season right?

Baldy has stuck them in a seasonal match bet v the mighty Poshies and are 10-11 each of two.

They have the teams pretty close in outright betting (11-1 Posh, 12-1 Donny) but Poshies are as short as 9-1 in a place, with Donny as big as 20-1 with Choral.

Feels like this should be a chunky one? Let's go for the MAXXXXXXXXXXXX

We have 20-1 Doncaster to be relegated

We have Peterborough to be promoted

We have a Peterborough player to be league one golden boot

Peterborough are going to score 100s of goals this season

ergo, a maximum on the match bet does seem appropriate

£220.00 Single
Market   Selection   Price   Hcp
League One 2014/2015 - Season Match Bets
Doncaster V Peterborough
   Peterborough    10/11
Total stake   £ 220.00
Estimated return   £ 420.00
Full stake   £ 220.00
Full estimated return   £ 420.00

Chompy, have to agree on the match bet as a max. Few things going on at the moment selling Husband to Boro for reported 500K, and hoping to keep a few players, so maybe not as grim as I first thought. However just cant help thinking that after first 11 the squad is very bare, so happy with the bets put up previously. Will be having some of this myself.

Can we have a step by step guide? Is it....

Back the double
Lay the other team (not stoke) on betfair for a price worse than the single price on bwin
This gives us an effective single on stoke

Why cant my brain work that out?!

I can't work it out either - surely if the stoke bet loses and the other one wins, you get a double rodgering?

Yes just treat the double as a single effectively on the other team.  ie £200 double is a £200 single on the other selection.  Back and lay it on bf (just treat it like the arb or break even 'arb' it is) then if it wins u got the balance running onto stoke and lose on bf what u add to the double bet at bwin.  Best to pick a really short one at bwin if possible so you are more likely to win there and have the double running on.

ideas, thoughts and suggestions welcome

Will probably be red faced at about 2.05 tomorrow, but I would be quite keen to take on the fav in the first tomorrow at sub 2. It was ultra impressive last Friday at Ascot in the Brown Jack, and my first impression was I should follow it next time.

However, 2.5 is a real slog for a horse on the flat, and especially so for a three year old, and I can't find too many that have run in it, for that very reason. Couple that with the recent race, and whilst Johnstone may know stayers better than anyone, I just wonder if this is literally, a step too far.

Can we have a step by step guide? Is it....

Back the double
Lay the other team (not stoke) on betfair for a price worse than the single price on bwin

Right Junior.  Got time now to go through it with numbers.

We want £400 on stoke at 2/1 so to get £400 on we have to do a double as bwins singles limits are £81 but will lay £400 if you include it in a double.  I will use a simple numbers example.  We put it in a double with stoke with an even money shot.    Therefore we have a £200 double stoke 2/1 and event x at evens.  This will give us £400 on stoke once the event x wins.  Now to ensure we don't do the bet before it gets to stoke we try to find an event x which is around evens on bf to lay, preferably slightly under to cover the commission.

We lay £200 of event x at evens or just under on bf to get the £200 back so the event x which we dont care about loses and we break even on the bet.  If it wins we now have £400 on stoke.  £200 deposited into bwin for the original bet and the other £200 has been lost on betfair on the lay.

Is that a better explanation junior?  I ain't the best at describing these things compared to many on here!

Obviously you just have to adjust the numbers depending on how much u actually want on stoke and the price the other event is in your double.
