talking of commentary fun, if anyone is watching the cricket, there is currently a Nick Knight masterclass in progress
Ward: How would you break this partnership?
*Long pause*
Knight: That's one thing I'd definitely try and do; break this partnership.

following on from our lay "success" on Liverpool last night
I like Roma to win tonight at over 6/4
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/champions-league/roma-v-man-city/winner
obviously the market knows Aguero and Yaya are missing, but these are big absences at exactly the wrong time
we also know that it will be a hostile atmosphere
A score draw is probably enough for City, so Roma have to go for it to an extent (i think, there are plenty of permutations)
Watched the first game, thought Roma and especially Pjanic were good value
your thoughts welcome

Cardinals v Rams
I know nothing about American football, though do watch the occasional match. One of the betting sites i use here in Aus is offering money back bet on 1st touchdown scorer if they score sometime in the game. As the odds for all players are over 10 in this market, i wouldnt mind having a 100 dollar spin. Any of you guys think any of the players is highly likely to score? Thanks for your suggestions. geoff

Was a very interesting interview on the radio with somebody who watches Roma every week who thought that since they went toe to toe with Bayern and got stuffed they have lacked the confidence they had before. That makes a fair degree of sense to me and would have a big impact on the way they play which before that was very attacking.
He surmised that if they revert back to a more attacking game and have more belief they beat City if they don't they wont. I agree with that so have no view at the odds.

Hi
please check back on here tomorrow, especially. the game is Thursday night (our time) and i would expect it to be discussed then
very briefly
the Cardinals are challenged offensively, with a back up QB, their main running back just gone on Injured reserve and up against a very decent defense
the Rams have been surging, but the Cardinals have a really strong defense. especially against the run.
if I suggest that we stay away from running backs (poor value against these defensive fronts) then the main receiving candidates on the two sides are
Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown, Michael Floyd
Tavon Austin, Kenny Britt
Of these, the most in form/explosive/big play are Brown and Austin
thats a first look, more tomorrow

Didn't watch this last year but done some searching.
Hills' prices look lazy. Joey Essex seems to get insta-installed as favourite every time, but can't believe he has any chance in this.
Last year's 1-2 were both alternates and the injury rate seems quite high.
I'd have put Steve-O and Louie Spence in shorter.
Steve-O is basically a bit of a loon and will chuck himself into anything.
Would imagine these skillz will come in useful...

Number 1 rule. Wait til all the prices are all up.
Steve O is obvious, he is a big surfer, goes skiing, and is a nutter.
Wish I'd realised Chompy was going to post. Thread should get whatever it can and is left at 5/1 up.
Edit. That didn't last long!
@steveo gives a flavour of the man.

Sorry, didn't realise there was a number one rule.
Nobody ever gets more than a score on these twitchy markets anyway.
Louie Spence looks big at 50-1.
