so what is there in 2015?

cricket world cup. against: early in the year, not on bbc. we won't win. becoming a minority sport

rugby world cup: late in the year. on itv. northern hemisphere chances

athletics world champs: which is why jessica ennis and mo farah are on the ante post list. in beijing on the bbc, going to be a big bbc treatment event

chris froome is favourite for the tdf

fwiw i would be thinking of athletes who might win their events in the world championships, outside mo and jess ennis who are already quoted

far more likely to win than any boxer barring something extraordinary, which is just my opinion

Greg rutherford gets far too much coverage, if its another poor one he tends to be pretty consistent.

Will middleclasses vote for mo. Ennis has chances coming back from having child (if she does).

It's a public vote, so we should probably ask for a price on Caroline Flack

:-)

but i think the big lesson of this year is think what the judging panel will put on the shortlist, first and foremost

you can't win it if you aren't in the final ten...and there is a clear preference for minority sports and bbc covered sports

THEN think about what the abc1's who watch it will vote for. after all..there's x factor on the other side. so mr boxing fan's mrs is far more likely to have the remote control to watch that than mr dressage fan's mrs is.

(sorry for the horrible stereotypical generalisation)

I'll be surprised if Khan gets his fight with Mayweather. PBF is notoriously risk averse and stylistically Khan is probably the worst possible fight out there for him and it won't make massive $$. Khan was probably too good for his own good on Saturday.

AJ will be a megastar. 2015 at least a year too soon though.

You beat me to it.

With Khan there will be the activity and Al Haymon protection issues. I wouldn't even look at his price unless he get's the Mayweather fight.

In layman's terms everybody loves a heavyweight as their the biggest and best. Judging by how short AJ is for 2015 he'll never be a backable price in the future.

SPOTY

Was the easiest bet ever to win with Lewis Hamilton winning the F1 Crown.

All you had to do was go on the Tabloid websites with " Who do you think will win SPOTY polls" Take a look

All had Hamilton @ around 44-46 % with Rory on about 18%. Then a final look at Oddschecker
to see LH was getting 42% ish of the bets v RM ' 36%

Place a bet. Collect Winnings

Simples

small piece of admin

Mere is going to create a new category for "motor sport" , seeing as we are seeing general four wheel bets with increasing frequency. these are currently recorded as F1 when in fact a broader category is correct

"Motorsport" please, rather than "motor sport" or "MotorSport"!! #pedantic

Some good tipping over the weekend, wp chaps. I notice Peter-27 put up 5 tips, 2 of which were very close and one of which won at nice prices. I got on 4 of them and missed 1. Bet no-one can guess which one I missed!

Ouch, that's kinda sucky!  Sad

Sorry, Peter, but I read it as "motor sport", because that prius racing competition you tipped up the other day looks like "motorsport" but, on closer inspection, it isn't.

Wink

Superb work BTW with the tips. Keep them coming.

Yes. Yes.

I made a similar mistake.

For "Strictly Come Dancing" I read "pile of poo", and "X Factor" appeared to say "Get A Life".

Easy mistakes, huh!
