The Footie threads do get trolled a bit I suppose, but the lack of balance in them absolutely appals me. To win any debate, each side has to yield a few points first. No Manager, Team, Player, or Chairman is ALL bad or ALL good, but we only hear the extreme ends of the debate. There is real hate there, & I see no reason for that at all.

It's an emotive subject, and I guess it's very hard for fans to be objective.

I can see why you get frustrated, but it amuses me, rather than appalls Cheesy

Don't tar us all with the same brush please.

the saints thread is quite amicable but maybe thats because we are out performing our pre season expetations

On a personal note, I am aware that many of you have threatened to buy me a drink the next time we meet (or have very kindly offered me payment for running assorted competitions on Blonde). I've been feeling guilty of depriving you all of this opportunity due to my asocial tendencies so I've decided to give you the chance to sponsor me to go tee-total during January.

Ladies & Gents.

Vince is one of the reasons that Fred is a wonderful Fun Freeroll for us all.

I hope all of you consider making a donation, however small, to Vince's charity cause.

Don't forget, as well as keeping the Fred Spready immaculately up to date & accurate, Vince also ran stuff in 2014 including WSOP Fantasy League, World Cup Predictions, Cheltenham & Royal Ascot Tipping Comps etc.

For the fun he has helped give, at abso zero cost to any of us, a small donation from you would not go amiss.

Individual months don't mean too much, but this is fairly heartening, this is December.....

Closed bets: 87
Amount wagered: £2,308.21
Profit/loss: £316.10
ROI: 13.69%

That came from 27 different "tipsters", so a nice sprread, & we had one NEW Tipster.

Most profitable: Misc. (£399.44), MotorSport (£115.00), Football (£103.54),  Golf (£25.00) - the only 4  winning "sports" this month

Who'd have thought that the Top 2 "sports" for December would be "Misc" & "MotorSport"?

Least profitable: Basketball (-£105.00), Horses (-£83.89), Cricket (-£58.00)

I think the Basketball loss should be seen in the context of our overall NBA book, which is one of the most promising ever seen on Fred.

"Motorsport", once the least successful Sport on Fred, & down over £1,000 at one stage iirc, is now only £264 down, reflecting some great work by our F1 experts. F1 starts again in March, & maybe we can climb into profit in Motorsport in 2015.

Our current "Least Profitable Sport"? Basketball. Pretty sure that will turn into profit in 2015, given our NBA book.

Golf is our "third worst" Sport, @ -£426. Don't quite know what to make of that, but golf is high variance, & a single outright win could correct that at a stroke. Or not. We don't seem to do so much golf as previously, not sure why.

Our 2nd most profitable "Sport" is "Misc". Incred.
