I placed £5 for Fred on Boyles on Tomic to win 3rd quarter at 16/1 as per Hector's recommendation. Just posting this again because I didn't see a confirmation so making sure it's not missed!

Hi Mr Nuros.

Only just seen your Post, sorry.

Did this ever get responded to? Apologies if not.

Feels a bit late to say "yes" or" no" at this stage. I've no idea if the bet won or lost, or even what sport it is, sorry.

If the bet lost, please knock the £5 off my "tab".

If the bet won, well it feels a bit aftertimey to say "yes" now, that'd be rather naughty.

Don't really know what to suggest at this stage really. We'll not fall out though.

Another sizzling PaddyPower offer as I know that you are all big fans:

Log into your account every day for the next 30, and you'll have an exclusive enhanced priced offer sitting there waiting for you. Today it's Victoria Azarenka to beat Sloane Stephens 2-0 enhanced from Evens to a whopping 15/8!

Evens may have been a little short but 15/8 is definitely value.
I could get the best part of £20 on.

Azarenka is far from match fit but Sloane Stephens appears to be living on a different planet most of the time recently so it's definitely a decent bet.

Azarenka is 1.44 to win the match and 2.2 to win 2-0 on Betfair. I'm not sure that these odds are particularly consistent - they seem to indicate a lesser chance of her winning 2-0 than I would expect.

It's possible that this offer may be restricted to ice-creams like me. Smiley

I have an ice creamy account and I can not see this offer or email :/ can you link me to it? (IF you have a link!)

Does this work?

Most bookmakers (online) "target" these offers at a very specific part of their client base.

Mind you, I did hear a rumour that Marky gets them all.

Lol, not always. They sometimes go to encourage cross-sell from another platform on the site, or to "lapsed" players. *

*"Lapsed" as in "not bet for a while", as opposed,to......well, you get my drift.

I hope that a few other ice-creams got the same offer and managed to get on.
Azarenka won 6-3 6-2.
Stephens appeared to be concentrating but Azarenka was just too good for her.

I looked at the under 2.5 goals market last night for the Everton v West Brom game. Under 2.5 goals was 4/5.

Does anyone else think backing under 2.5 goals in West Brom games for the rest of the season will be a winning strategy?

Perhaps take out their games against Man City and Chelsea.

I vaguely remember Arbboy mentioning he consistently backed under 2.5 goals in Stoke games when Pulis was there?

Yes I am all aboard the pulis under club.  Have been a fully paid up member of it for circa 10 years now.  Don't want to join the after timers club just yet but we had a little touch on 0-0 last night as well.  I was amazed at getting 5/6 last night under 2.5 given how much Everton drifted and how out of form they are.  Looking forward to villa v wba whenever that happens.

Google the 2004/5 championship table for Stoke if you want to see how effective tony can be with his centre halfffffffffffs as only he says it! Without that season and ladbrokes constantly going 5/2 or 11/4 under 1.5 goals on their shop coupon every week for Stoke games and actually laying a bet you would struggle to get on ten years on I would probably never have started gambling professionally.  It was so incredible that season I think Stoke games went under 1.5 goals something like 11 games in a row at one stage of the season.  Check out burnleys goal stats for and against in that same year and imagine the value on under 1.5 goals at 5/2 in that game and 0-0 being a 12/1 poke.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004%E2%80%9305_Football_League_Championship

This is the 2004/5 final table for Stoke.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004%E2%80%9305_Stoke_City_F.C._season#Results

Stoke's results this season.  They actually went on a 17 game streak of games going under 1.5 goals during the season.  In that streak of 17 games only two games finished 0-0.  15 games out of 17 finishing 1-0 or 0-1.  Surely that has never been done before?

Just shows you how important survival bias is in gambling.  Without that streak i doubt whether i would have had the confidence to give the game a real go longer term.
