Afternoon all. I've been indisposed again. Hmmmprh.

Wow, never realised this, what a scorcher.

Deeney scored both goals to go to 19 for the season, 4 behind Murphy and two clear of third

just a quick copy and paste of the Deeney bets, as they are corkers

Championship goalscorer   Deeney   50/1   20   £10 e/w 1/4 1,2,3,4
Championship goalscorer   Deeney   40/1   20   £10 e/w 1/4 1,2,3,4

Deeney has now scored in the last six games, seven goals

Who put that bet up - was it Marky?

dung, assisted by Chompy

it was placed on 28th october, when deeney was just back from two months out and giving the head of the field 6-8 goals start hence the 40-1 and 50-1 quotes

since then deeney has had to deal with some rotation through to the end of february with ighalo and vydra..ighalo has scored 15 goals this season taking some away from deeney too

from here of course, with Murphy and Ipswich in mixed form, we need Deeney to carry on this form for another six weeks

in league one Peterborough lost 2-0 at Preston, but Swindon came from behind to beat Doncaster away, so Peterborough stay three points ahead of Dncaster in the £220 at 10/11 match bet

Another one that looks like it will go down to the wire.

I'm not entirely who we want to win this, we have flip-flopped 23 times already.

Amazing, well done Dung, & the other bloke.

Shades of Suar last year, with the "handicap" start. Lets hope we get the same result.

Thanks, hopefully we will see some of the more interesting sub markets go up soon as well.

we had a couple of great runs with worcestershire and kent in the one day stuff last year at big old prices. hoping for similar this

feel free to put up reccs of course. the one point i would make about hampshire, just up from division two is that it can be tough to force wins at the ageas bowl..slow dry wickets and not easy to bowl sides out..hence it took a couple of years for hampshire to get back up notwithstanding the talent of vince/carberry and the like

Pretty sure NHS hasn't been mentioned.  Two kitchens was in the most comical way!

You are actually tuned in to the Budget broadcast?

Good God man, do you not have a life?

PS - Do you have your own little Budget up there, or do we just give you some spending money every year & say "run along now"? What happened to the Management Buyout?

It has been mentioned, exactly as "NHS".

"Hard working" and "families" mentioned, but not in that order.

No rail link mentioned yet, though...

3 losers from me, I'm afraid. Back in a month!

HS2 now backed into 2/1 haha. tried doubles on hills, not allowed. like the look of "hard working families" at evens at a few places, will stick to his core market with that one

Afternoon Nel, good to have a new addition to the team here. I saw you signed up yesterday, so presumably it was to join Fred - great stuff.

Good friendly bunch here, but we all know each other, & we don't know you, so it might be a bit intimidating for you at first. Hang in, you'll be fine.

Not prying, but if we know a bit about you, it makes convo easier.

Do you support a Football Team, if so, who?

Favourite sport, & why?

Out of 10, how good is Arsene Wenger? (Please mark strictly, max mark is 9.9).

What sort of bets do you do?

Day job, or type of work?

Concrete, bridges, trains or hydraulic backhoe excavators?

Younger or older than me?

It's not a 20 questions interrogation, it's basically the same opening lines I use when I hit on a woman, & I'm pretty damn hot in that department.

Waiting for squad to be finalised but like the look of Sussex signings so far.
They have a good pedigree in bringing bowlers back into form and like the signings of Mills and Shahzad. Still waiting on any batsmen signings.
Also have the weather factor

obviously happy to hear more

another point to make is if a player makes the england squad and does well enough to get a central or incremental contract then the ECB pays his wages and the salary comes off the county's books for salary cap purposes

so this then frees up £ to recruit, either domestic or overseas

this is, for example, one of the reasons why Surrey could haveK P on their books for two years not playing much cricket, the salary was paid for by the ECB. this ran out at the end of last year and one of the reasons why he hasn't got a county, even if he wanted one, is that no one can fit him into the salary cap

so, theoretically, lyth and rashid establish themselves in the England squad for the the summer, get awarded contracts at the end of July and that frees up the money for yorkshire to get an overseas for the championship run in

Is that the reason why he is so keen to get back into the England team because otherwise he literally can't get paid this summer domestically?

well he's got the IPL in May, the Caribbean PL in august and then the big bash in the winter all of which are six figures in compensation....so its not money.

More that to force his way back in he needs

a) to make first class runs, not pyjama runs
b) downton and moores to go

but yes to your point, a salary cap for a UK county is £1.8m. only a few hit that cap (leicestershire say, or derbyshire..smaller counties lacking a test ground and commerical revenues wouldn't be spending £1.8m) so if you want 20+ professionals and KP is going to need to be paid, guess, £150,000 a summer....then its tough to employ him and get a competitive team out
