Sporting index must have done their absolute nuts on the egg chasing today.

Sporting index must have done their absolute nuts on the egg chasing today.

It's almost an NBA score, 55-35 so far.

For naive RU neutrals like me, been a great game to watch, though the purists may not agree.

.

A sensational day's rugby and as special a tournament as I can remember. A great advert for the game.

An afternoon that will linger in the memory for a very long time.

Well done Ireland, too.

I think it is incredible how all 3 games don't kick off at the same time though.  England have had a massively unfair advantage today.  This wouldn't happen in any other major sport.  As it happens it has made it the day it has to watch but i still feel it is massively unfair.

Agree.

Perhaps a function of maximising TV revenue?

Nah, don't agree. That's just the way it worked out this year don't recall another year like this one, most of us fans want to watch all the games. The luck changes every year with who you play when and home or away etc, so it's fair cop imo. And it should all be about the fans....

BBC would have had the choice of game times and would have insisted on England v France as the last game.  So it is not fair.  I would be amazed if the order of the today's games was totally random pre event.  If it was fair play but imo the first game literally had no chance of being the last game for viewing figure reasons.

Plus you now get the trophy awarded in a pitch black stadium with no fans there with the Irish players in suits.  It is stupid.

England look barely recognisable from a year ago. Talent and depth across the field. As Mr Moore said in commentary, there's nothing between the top three in Europe.

A marvellously understated performance by Schmidt and Ireland, too.

Like I say I don't remember another day like this, a total one off. It's all about the fans, that's more important than a one of spot that crops up this this once in a blue moon. I don't care what order they play actually, but I don't want them all to play at the same time.

As arb says, it is unfair and if the results affected anything else such as WC qualification (obv wouldn't itc) or rankings then they would have been played at the same time.

As it worked out, it was a great day of Rugby for the fans that the scheduling helped create.
