Liverpool v Man U today. Wonder how that will measure up against yesterday's RU for all out excitement?

I'm getting a little tired of all the theatrical play acting in football, feigning injuries, trying to get players red carded. Fingers crossed a good open game played in decent spirit.

I wouldn't mind a red card (3.1 to happen) if it's not 2-1 to Liverpool - BV are refunding many bets (up to £10) and they are top priced in most areas.

Ladbrokes have a decent offer too, refunding bets up to £25 if BTS (1.78).

As referenced in the daily report (outstanding work by the way Tighty), the Wild secured a big win against a very strong Blues team over night. That's now the second win over them in seven days which could potentially be a significant mental boost if they were to meet in the first round of the playoffs which is a distinct possibility.

Fabulous report, Tighty, I don't know how you do it, or even find the time.

Was a wonderful day's armchair sport yesterday.

What a feat Pardew has achieved. Incredible, I'm really pleased for him, I thought he got unfairly treated at Newcastle. Now Palace are ahead of Newcastle, made up a ton of ground under Pardew.

And the Arse, 6 straight wins in the Premier League. Who'd have thought?

That Palace Stoke result was very good for our handicap bet.

Palace are now up to 4th on projected points.  They are behind Southampton, who are walking away with it, Swansea and West Ham, ahead of Stoke and Spurs.  3 of the last 4 games look pretty bad though, so they still need plenty of points before that.

Current projected standings

Southampton 101
Swansea 95
West Ham 93
Palace 92
Stoke 89
Spurs 87
Chelsea 87
Liverpool 85

What price Alan "that fkin clown" Pardew manager of the year?  Already snagged the GOAT title in my head.

both the Liverpool (+14) and Palace (+46) handicap bets pay 4 places

the Palace bets in their entirety are

Premier League Handicap   Crystal Palace +46 16   30   £15 e/w 1/4 1,2,3,4
palace v wba season points   palace   10/11   55
palace v hull season points   palace   13/15.   55
league without the big 7   crystal palace   20/1   15
newcastle v palace finishing position Palace 11/4   20
crystal palace season points   40+   ev.   90

of these, only the league without the big seven bet, due to southampton, is not very much live

this was not the case under Mr Warnock

Morning Mr T's.

I think today we can support Roger Federer to beat Novak Djokovic. Their records are so close that I think it should be priced up as a flip, but we can get 17/10 for Federer. I think his performance in beating Raonic was more impressive than Djokovic's over Murray and it is nice to be able to support the elderly.

Suggest £20 Federer @ 17/10 with betvictor

They are only 5 points from slipping outside a playoff spot as are a few other teams, tie up a spot before thinking ahead to the playoffs, things can change fast in this sport as you know.

Butter Cup and Bet Everyday must be punished for going 1/1 Hibs against Rangers.  Hibs have handed them their @rse every game this season, and I would argue Rangers were in far better fettle in previous encounters, morale must be at an all time low, they seem absolutely incapable of keeping a clean sheet and are struggling to score.  I think its now 1 win in 10.   Hibs are on a 14 game unbeaten run.  A win for Hibs solidifies their spot as runner up and heaps pressure on Rangers to secure a play-off spot.

The price with those 2 firms is the same as Betty so we should be having a chunk as after commission we are better odds with the fixed odds.   But if we can't get on with those 2 I'd take the Betfair action.

There will be goals in this match.  I expect it to be something like 3 - 0 or 3 - 1 Hibs.  For those who like a bit more juice in the prices playing the handicap could be profitable.

I've no idea how it works, David, but that's some turn-round he has helped achieve. Just gone about his work quietly, week after week. I love people who face up to adversity & don't buckle.

Can't be too many others who can lay claim to better, is there? The Southampton chap, yes, the Swansea bloke maybe. Guess the run-in will determine the outcome.

Thet'd probably be beating Southampton if that handicap started when he took over. Palace's form since he took over must be the match of anyone outside the top 4/5?

From BBC Sport......

Palace were in the bottom three when Alan Pardew took charge in January but their form since he took over has meant the Eagles are now comfortable in mid-table. They have won eight of their 13 matches under the former Newcastle manager in all competitions.

This was their fifth away league victory of the season

The only teams with a better away record - ALL season - are Chelsea, Liverpool, Southampton & Spurs.

Hear Hear!!

It may not meet the usual criteria of being unusual, or massive price etc, but this has been one of my favourite bets ever on here.

I don't need a sweat to enjoy a bet, just to know I am picking up, makes the enjoyment more than enough, and this bet fit the bill from week 1.

Thanks KMac
