I know you didn't really tip it Tighty, but old fred favourite Kool Kompany has just won the Craven from the front.

I think Mark Allen is too short for his match with Ryan Day. Rankings and season performances would place Allen as favourite. I just feel that Allens inconsistency (3 first round exits and 2 finals) makes him one to oppose. We can have Day at 2/1 with Russ but I think a better way would be to back Day on the handicap +2.5 with Billy. Recommend £22 @ 10/11
ouch
i fancy Allen as an outsider to reach the final and i find Ryan Day one of the least reliable betting propositions and mentally weakest players in the top 50. A choker, imho.
lol. off to lie down for 10 minutes
I think if someone is looking to back Day, then you should find a way to get with him on breaks, as if he wins this he is going to score really big. Sell Allen ton up supremacy or something along those lines. Problem with backing him to win the match is he can go to pieces quite easily, but I wouldn't be surprised if he got a couple of tons.

thanks but i think we are sworn off them on here on the advice of chompy and doobs. which is sensible.
i do think its a big price, after all farage versus four left of centres is going to give him plenty of opportunity to get on his soapbox, though

Double put Russell Knox up as part of his portfolio for the US Golf.
As a regular reader of the golf thread will know, I have been a fully paid up member of the Knox fan club for a while. I have a standing order in place each week.
The guy is gradually getting there, and just seems to get it round week on week, and will soon put it all together and cross the line first soon.
Having had a week off, and with many possibly not totally focused after Augusta, he is probably worth a five spot, each way for interest.
In the racing today, have the minimum ew on American Hope in the 3.30. @14s
He has a few pounds to find on ratings and has been campaigned at further since his move from Ireland. However he shows plenty of pace, and with fitness on his side vs plenty on their first time up this year, he could surprise.
Should keep idle hands busy for a few minutes.

The snooker.
Not a recommend, & no idea of comparative abilities or value, but I've always thought Robertson is supremely gifted. I'd probably have a tenner off thread if Fred does not get on, but I have no logic behind that.
For me, Ronnie or Robertson. No idea if either represent value though.

I know you didn't really tip it Tighty, but old fred favourite Kool Kompany has just won the Craven from the front.
at 14-1.

100-1 quote for the 2000 out there currently
I don't think that 100/1 was anything other than a mistake/ stale price.
Koral are currently 33/1 each way which seems big given it has some solidform in the book from last year, has obviously trained on to some extent, and won fairly easily. Just don't see how it can be a bad bet.
You'll see it as soon as you go on the mobile site and suggest at least 20 e/w.

They interviewed Hughes after the race and he suggested the French or German Guineas was likely to be the target.

would you (both) like me to wait?
presumably the 33/1 reflects some NR risk.
