Think we can oppose liverpool today. Ant put up a load of reasons why we should back palace but it was shot down over the Steevie G benefit argument.

A lot has been made of how liverpool will be fired up to give him a perfect send off but there are plenty of examples where occasions get the better of the jolly

-City lost their last ever game at Maine Road
-Utd lost to city (pre sheikh money) at home on the 50th anniversary of Munich air disaster
-Henry's last home game first time round was only a draw (was against chelsea but they were probably slight faves)
-Fergie's last home game, they struggled to beat Swansea and last ever game they blew a 5-2 lead

So following from Ant's detailed post think we should back Palace

Alternatively we can have Palace +1AH at 11/10 on BMU which is where my money has gone today. Recc £30

Not sure if anyone is around today so will keep it short.

Leeds v Huddersfield in the challenge cup. Lots of wind and a bit of rain about so not conducive to running rugby. These sides drew 2 weeks ago at Huddersfield so I expect a low scoring tight game. For Leeds to win they will have to have big games from their props defensively. Suggest we have a bet on both of their starting props to be MOTM. In addition if Jonathan Davies is doing the picking he has a lot of man love for Peacock.

Suggest £5 Cuthbertson and Peacock to be MOTM @ 20-1 with Hills. Both are 25's with sky.

In today's Lockinge a couple of bookmakers have gone 17 runners, let's go 4 places.  Given all the rags it looks a mistake.  There is loads of value in the race but could someone put a tenner each way on Arod with beteveryday at 25/1 for thread (Marky?).  I can't do it as I backed something else when I got up and the price has gone.  Don't want to be backing lots of different ones on one account.  Cheers.

Shy are also doing this offer and Toormore looks good at 10/1 also for those that can.

They are basically giving you a free extra place, so maths says we must bet.

It is at Newbury, think it is 3.45.

Sorry guys.

At my brothers place, and am currently on the backup phone, as I smashed mine at the hospital the other day.

No punting apps on this, so I'm restricted to browsing only...

Gerrard 4/6 to kiss the LFC badge on camera, surely it's a certainty as BR takes him off late on for a standing ovation?

Surely Toon get rid of Carver before last game? They couldn't do any worse with the cleaner taking the helm.

The man must have zero anything to have dragged them so far down.

I wonder what this lot think now as Pardew's team lead 2-1 at Anfield?

I guess in life you should be careful what you wish for.

Just a quick update on the Palace handicap bet.

I have switched to using actual points + handicap as it easier to follow for Tighty.

Only the teams that can catch Palace are included, and all have 2 games left unless stated.

1.  Swansea 93 (3 matches left)
2. Southampton 91
3. Palace 88
4. West Ham 87
5. Stoke 86
6. Chelsea 84
7. West Brom 83
...
Arsenal 76 (4 matches left)

There is a theoretical possibility we can still win, but we need 3 points to be fairly certain of a place.  I don't think 1 or 2 will be enough to get the place, but 3 seems plenty.

West Ham and Stoke haven't got difficult run ins and Chelsea could easily win their last 2, so I think we need to be beating either Liverpool or Swansea to get 4th.

Think we can book the place bet as a winner.  Pardiola still live for manager of the year?
