"a loss of £16 yesterday. Bolivia beat Ecuador 3-2 in the copa America. Another unwelcome result as with two losses in two games they cannot progress"

Clutching at straws, but can't they beat Mexico, come 3rd and squeak through for a shot at Argentina/Brazil Smiley  I think top 2 in each group goes through and the two best 3rd placers.

There are a few good each way races tomorrow at Ascot.

The 2.30 is a hot race, but I am a fan of Toormore.  8/1 quarter odds with 3 places looks very good to me.  Available in a few spots including Hills, Victor and b365.  Suggest £20 e/w. Hills mobile is best as we get the free bet if 2nd too.

I think we should also have an interest in Cougar Mountain at 40/1 e/w.  Listen the horse is better than his form suggests and e have always thought he was a miler.  Basically why are they running him here and putting the best jockey up if they thought he was a 40/1 no hoper.  This together with the good e/w terms means we can live with a fiver each way at that price with hills and lads.

In the 3.40 hills and corals are going quarter first 4.  You could tip up a fair few in this race on those terms including the favourite.  Suggest 20 e/w muhtmir with hills mobile at 11/2, so you get the good e/w terms and free bet if 2nd too.

Can't get anything on from the U.S., so good luck.

2.30 not night of thunder against the front two? would be surprised if it was outside the top three

you are probably asleep though!

your bets (1)

Single - 14:30

Cougar Mountain - |Race Winner|

Odds: 40/1

Each way : 1/4

1 lines at £5.00 per line

Total Stake for this bet: £10.00

Potential Return:£260.00

Time : 16/6/2015-09:22

Receipt No:O/142640973/0000935

on william hill mobile

toormoore 20 ew at 8-1 1/5 1,2,3

muthmir 20 ew at 11-2 1/5 1,2,3

money back as free bets if second

Hills are showing 1/4 on their normal site, and 4 places on muthmir. They going poor terms for the price of free bet if second? Muthmir bet is worse then a quarter 4 places? (available all over the shop and a few offer about for free)

Pakistan travel to Sri Lanka for a 3 match test series starting early doors on wednesday morning. The draw is odds on so looks like a typical Galle wicket, flat in the main but will take spin. Was originally looked for series betting on Herath to be top wicket taker but it's not priced up. He is 5/2 to be top wicket taker in the first innings, which looks pretty good considering the rest of their bowling attack is very weak (2nd in the betting is an offspinning allrounder who's played 7 tests). In the first innings of his last 3 tests in the subcontinent he's taken 9 wickets, 4 wickets and 3 wickets and he'll get through a lot of overs so looks to have a very good chance. As short as 7/4 elsewhere, that was the kind of price I'd expected.

Whilst checking for that I saw Azhar Ali was 9/2 to be top Pakistan batsman, which seems too big. The Pakistani batting has been in good form collectively, so that will be the reason they are 4/1 the field here, but Ali has been in tremendous form with 3 tons and 3 50's from his last 9 knocks in tests. His form v Sri Lanka is very good, with 4 hundreds in 9 matches against them in his career. He's moved him game up a level lately, being more aggressive and scoring runs at a good pace in his recent ODI games (albeit against poor opposition) and will be looking to take over from the old heads of Misbah and Younis as Pakistan's number 1 batsman. The 7/2 that a fair few firms have him at was what I'd expected.

rec £30 on Rangana Herath, top Sri Lanka bowler, at 5/2 with baldy
rec £20 on Azhar Ali, top Pakistan batsman, at 9/2 with pp

Sri Lanka v Pakistan - 1st Test
Top Bowler - Sri Lanka
   Herath, Rangana    5/2
Total stake   £ 30.00
Estimated return   £ 105.00
Full stake   £ 30.00
Full estimated return   £ 105.00

Sri Lanka v Pakistan - 1st Test
Top Bowler - Sri Lanka
   Herath, Rangana    5/2
Total stake   £ 30.00
Estimated return   £ 105.00
Full stake   £ 30.00
Full estimated return   £ 105.00

we can't use paddy power. not a bookmaker, a marketing company with dubious campaigns aimed at the brainless.

ah right , apologies. they're into 4/1 now anyway. I'd say 4's is still fine given the form he is in, available with quite a few firms

Any reason for the overnight drift on Moore Chompy on bf for top jockey?  Plenty of punters got upwards of 4/7 for decent money.

They've pinched Rita Ora from The Voice? Thought she was poor on that, strange one.

If being a judge on the X Factor were about finding, developing and coaching talent, they would have kept Pete Waterman.

(Yes, I know he was on Pop Idol, not the X Factor)

4-7 and bigger overnight was incred value for those that got it. Back under twos on now.

Today his rides are 33-1, 7-1, 8-1, 4-6, 8-1, 5-1. Gleneagles is one of his bankers for the week and, fingers crossed, he'll wind up with two.

Tomorrow his rides are 12-1, 5-1, Evens, 7-1, 10-1, 8-1.

Couldn't really ask for two better books.

Found @ 2-1 and Telescope @ 11-8 plus plenty of rides between 6-1 and 10-1. Getting cold feet?

Quite fancy the Queen to wear a pink hat today. From a reliable source this one.
