PS - Will reply to your PM later this morning.

At least Arb is in the US, so you're safe from him topping up at 1/5000 and doing just that Cheesy

It's the Austrian GP this weekend. One of my personal favourite circuits  Grin

That being said, it is a fairly predictable track and as such the market is very well priced up for once. Can't find anything to suggest. I'll re-review after tomorrow's practice sessions.

There is small value here if you want it:

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/austrian-grand-prix/safety-car

EVS on "No" for WH, above EVS for "Yes" with Bwin.

FYI, I just placed a £20 spread bet on Force India Constructors Season Points. Bought at 53. I think now is the time to do it if you haven't already. Not a recommendation for the thread though as TFT bought at 77 following joebeevers'sss suggestion Smiley

Looking elsewhere, thoughts on this price?

Peter,

I have no view on that at all, but I keep thinking about this Safety Car thing this year.

Can we absolutely clarify how Bookies define a "Virtual" Safety Car. Is it the same as a "real" Safety Car?

Both or either can occur, of course.

Do bookies see them as the same thing?

If we backed "safety car - YES" & only the "virtual" happened, would we get paid?

Something I've considered too. I guess that's a question for the bookies.

You could potentially argue that a virtual safety car is still a "safety car". On the other hand, you could argue that it was virtual and therefore not a real safety car. Who knows!

Exactly.

It changes the odds dramatically though.

Any "Rules" experts on here know the answer? And do all Bookies treat the situation the same? If not, it could explain price differences.

Seems better to me to sort it out before we bet.

Here are the Scuy Rules on "Virtual Safety Car".

•Bets will be settled on whether or not the Safety Car is used in the race. The Safety Car will be deemed to have been used if Race Control signal for the car to join the track.
•Bets on the safety car will only be settled if a physical safety car enters the track at any point during the race. Virtual safety car will not count and bets will not be settled as “Yes” based solely upon this.

Paddy Power don't count the Virtual Safety car, either......

14. Will there be a safety car period during the race?
A Safety Car Period is defined as the need for the Safety Car to run in front of the leading car during a specified race. Should the race start under the Safety Car, then all bets concerning the Safety Car market will be settled as Yes. If the race finishes under safety car conditions but the safety car has not had time to get to the front of the leading car this market will be settled as Yes. Virtual Safety Car (VSC) periods do not count.

What about if the race is under a VSC, but the safety car comes on track acting as a medical car?  Grin

That is a possible scenario, albeit remote.

Nice to see adz is being recognised the way a few of us do, as incredible free value around here. Cheers for the efforts mate. Tatlisu is too much though isnt it?

Adz and doobs should have a customary argument at the start of all the festivals, they are better when they are angry?

Personally, I would expect that to be settled as a loser.

Appreciated Mr C.

It has Ryan on it. Let's hope he is still red hot on Saturday. But yes, it's asking a lot to continue the run good on here.

Hope you took the 25-1 though. Wink
