Tighty, did you miss the di Grassi bet off the spreadsheet, or did you not get on for the thread?

Sonour placed the fiver at 20-1

for the earlier bet i posted it had gone from 66-1 to 25-1 before i saw it

I assumed i had missed the price, and wasn't contradicted so did not place it

when he got lucky being in the first qualifying group just before the rain came, i had thoroughly missed the price

No bets completed yesterday

- Djokovic (we are on at 2/1 for the title) won his first match at wimbledon, beating Kohlschrieber in straight sets, a tricky game for a first round match negotiated safely.

A highlight of the day was Hewitt going to 11-9 in the fifth set of what proved to be his final wimbledon singles match in frnt of a partisan crowd who make the barmy army look like a tabarnacle choir.

and liam broady beating our old friend matosevic from two sets down to make the second round. Liam is from Stockport. Man of the people. Middle name Tarquin

in county cricket Middlesex are 122 on from Hampsire with two wickets remaining with two games to go and hping to move into a winning position today

Nick Compton hit an important 80

less encouraging news for Warwickshire, who conceded 600 against Sussex at Edgbaston and Lancs who conceded nearly 400 on losing the toss against Northants in Manchester

Neither Peters or Newton are playing for Northants, a blow when all the other batsmen are cashing in on a flat one

fun and games in the copa america again. guess what, amother sending off...

today rodina v robson at wimbledon, we are looking for recently fit again laura to lose 2-0

I know theres a few fellow hornets around so good place to ask:

How many goals do we expect Big Troy Deeney to score in the league this year?

not a watford fan, but some experience of watching a promoted side up there

i'd say 10-12 as a spread

something around an Ulloa return..prolific striker up from the championship, team is going to go through some rough patches but likely set up to attack so he should get chances

Tough one.  I think we'll do okay next season and come in the 14th/15th range assuming we have a bit better luck securing our transfer targets than the last month.  I expect Troy to be able to make the jump up and play most games.  Obviously we'll score far fewer than last season.  I'd pitch the line at 12?

The Djokovic match was interesting - I thought Kohlschrieber played pretty well, but questions must be raised over his "bottle" as he was serving at 4-5 in all three sets and lost 4-6 4-6 4-6 !!!!

7-8 maybe? Can't believe it will be that high playing for a team who're around a flip to stay up, albeit I'm no a spread bettor.

If anyone wants to take 10 and over in a match bet, I'm game.

Also, anyone able to get a one-off bet on for me with PP, please pm.

A much improved performance from Lazarus Laura Robson but ultimately she lost 4-6, 4-6.
It was closer than the scoreline indicates. Too many double-faults cost her but it won't be long before she is winning matches.
Rodina just doesn't give many cheap points away.

The bet was nearly scuppered by an odd over-rule by the umpire on match point.

Well done tikay.

you might be right

Ulloa got 11 in 37 in his first season in the top flight for a promoted team having scored 23 in 50 for brighton and i think Deeney is a more rounded striker than he is with a comparable scoring record (63 in 126 in the last three seasons)

all depends on the service.

i'll stick with 10+. will be interesting to see

I was surprised to see so low. Team with goals, penalty taker, captain etc. Id see him as more reliable than ulloa. I was expecting 12-13. Saw the line at 10.5 and thought id take advice.

Would be interested with a matchbet at 10 with 10 as a draw.

I will lay anyone i know over 10.5 at evens if they want it.  Watford are not a team with goals in the EPL, the championship maybe.  Is it even 100% certain he is the automatic first choice striker next year in the EPL given the Italians could go spending?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/top-scorers

Have a look at the list of players who scored 11 goals last season.  It is hardly lengthy outside of the true superstars of the league.  Not many players from teams in the bottom 6 where Watford are big odds on to finish.

Where did you see the o/u line at 10.5?  Just on here or with a firm?  Are they betting it 2 way or just he scores over 10 goals?  Would be interested in betting the under if a firm is offering it.

Is there an angle, here, that, if you think Deeney scores more than ten goals, you should double on Watford staying up?

I'm not convinced at all, personally, but they seem pretty related to me.Can't stay up easily without someone scoring goals

Fair enough. The two singles would be the same argument, I suppose.
